The first time I wore it my husband told me he noticed I was tilting my head up — my eyelid was weak so my head/neck compensated for my eyelid not staying as open. I had to make an effort to use my eyelid instead of my neck ? Imo it helps to wear it while you’re being active; TV/reading keeps your eye in focus on one place. It exercises your eye more if you’re looking around at objects that are close and far (since it takes work for your eye to refocus). So if possible try doing an activity while you wear it! Amazing! I just ordered the The Devil Wears Prada Hot Stuff Devil Shirt and I love this left eye one. I’m starting a new job where I’ll be working from home. I think this might be the perfect time to dedicate a few hours a day to it. I have the same issue where it starts falling when I’m tired. My 13-year-old cousin screamed across the table at a wedding reception “one of your eyes is smaller than the other!” ? She’s such a little shit. So excited to work from home! Most excited to be able to watch TV in my underwear or take a nap in my own bed during my lunch break lol, but you make a good point about having more time for self-care too. I am going to try this! I’ve started experiencing the The Devil Wears Prada Hot Stuff Devil Shirt and I love this same thing (same side, too!) but in my case, the sag is at its worst in the morning. I became very self conscious the first day I noticed it — imagine my surprise when later that same night, my face was back to normal…?! I’ve since learned that the droop could possibly relate to a few different things; one as you hinted at being a “levator palpebrae superioris” (eye muscle) that needs strengthening (which an eyepatch and exercises may help to treat). Interestingly, apparently a tendon on that same muscle can “dry out” as a consequence of sleeping, from prolonged exposure to a different type of tear/lubricant than what our eyes usually produce while we’re awake (hence, as the day goes on, friction lessons and the condition slowly goes away). Other potential offenders: eyelid edema (i.e. swelling/fluid retention around the eyes; usually a medical issue, debatably linked to sodium intake), stretched skin from (possibly) sleep positions/excessive eye rubbing (PSA: our eyelids are delicate, yo — be gentle, it’s the thinnest skin on our body!), and but of course: aging (sigh). I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a combination of these things (and perhaps others).
