Having been a teacher, I can assure you that disruptive behaviour is holding people back far more than the Wizard They ask for my wisdom but I have no idea what I’m doing shirt But I will love this presence of a kid with additional needs with 1:1 support. They are super easy to deal with. ‘TA, please could you go with Sarah to the bathroom?’ Done. Whereas having to spend 90% of the lesson simply getting the majority of kids in a place where they’re sat in a seat, with a pen, looking at you and listening to what you’ve been trying to say for 20 minutes, is the biggest thing holding back learning. Totally agree. When I were there long before the special needs kids started attending, there was a fair share of kids which were just as if not more disruptive. My hat is off to you. Part of my role at work is to train up new recruits. I genuinely love the “teaching” aspect of my job. But there’s no way in hell I could cope with a room full of disruptive kids – my “students” actually want to be there lol

When I was at high school, each subject was divided into ten sets in the Wizard They ask for my wisdom but I have no idea what I’m doing shirt But I will love this third year. The smartest students were put in Set 1, the most disruptive students were put in Set 10, and everyone else was somewhere in the middle. It seemed to work quite well. I’d be interested to know where you sat on that scale, because I’ve heard different things from different people. I was in fairly high sets and did well at school, we had the general disruptive behaviour but it was mostly smart-arse comments, nothing to warrant a suspension or exclusion. My brother, however, who was not disruptive but wasn’t very academic, was in the lower sets and suffered further because of the badly behaved kids. He’s actually really intelligent but school wasn’t a productive environment for him, so lumping him in with the ‘bad’ kids because he didn’t perform well in tests negatively impacted him.
