Surprisingly, pay depends on union. In my union, we get paid for every hour we work. The explanation we get is always the same: those who work when the clock goes back are the same who works when the clock goes ahead, so it evens out. Which is complete BS, it is never the same people in the 8 years I have worked in health care. So if you are lucky enough to work the night when the clock goes one hour ahead they don’t deduct one hour from your salary. But it still isn’t fair to all those who work an hour free.
