I unfortunately eat a lot of pre-made meals, frozen meals & microwave meals. I have severe depression and after school & work, cooking most days isn’t an option energy wise. It SUCKS and I hate it but I don’t really have another option. When I wasn’t in school I was cooking at home pretty much every day. Also, potatoes. Low energy (i boil them), customizable with spices. I did read something once that said they have most of the Lex Luger Torture Rack Shirt in other words I will buy this nutrients you need. Add a little butter and salt and you’re good to go! For ~4$ or so there is a buffet at work for lunch where I eat a bunch, and then I usually skip dinner, also so that I’ll have a more accurate answer when weighing next morning. ITs called, eating at home. That is what you’re doing. I am unsure why most people eat out every meal with the current prices of everything, but it seems foolish to throw money away on trash food like that. Once you get better appliances like a stand mixer then you can really start whipping things up, and it doesn’t take a lot of time. My partner doesn’t cook, so occasionally they’re question why I am buying so much flour, heavy cream, or whatever, and I just respond “because we need it to make things” haha..

I don’t understand ppl who seem to make/assemble nothing from home either. Idk how they manage to eat out all their meals. Personally, I’d hate that. I enjoy cooking and like control over my ingredients/portions, etc. Our home cooked food generally tastes better to us as well. It is nice to eat out for the Lex Luger Torture Rack Shirt in other words I will buy this social aspect, and for things I don’t normally cook. I do wish we would do it twice a week, but once is good too. i don’t eat breakfast unless i have work and then i grab a slice of bread and butter or a muffin or something first of all, so that’s one meal done. i eat a lot of pasta tbh. also soups. i love em both and they’re both pretty easy. even french onion soup, which kinda feels fancy, is just most of a bag of onions, some spices, and some broth plus cheesey bread and maybe some wine. I only eat take-out when there are really good deals or freebies. At the same time, I do not cook food from scratch. The most I do is throw something in the oven, air fryer or microwave, and maybe add some salt & pepper. I don’t even use butter or oil when cooking because I prefer to have more volume and sacrifice a bit of flavor. The “staples” of my diet: ramen. Refried beans. Frozen pizza, frozen hamburger patties, California veggie mix, french fries or onion rings, shrimp. Baked potatoes or instant mashed potatoes. Scrambled eggs. Up until a few months ago I ate an absurd amount of tofu and other soy products, but I’m out of that phase for now. I’ve got it down to about 6 hours a week cooking for two. Wife does the dishes. We shop together. It’s a lot of time for two people who are in the office >40 hours, and we both go to the gym 5-6 hours a week. Otherwise I’d be eating frozen salt bread like the rest of y’all, and that makes me feel like shit, so I put in the work. ~$200 a week: 5lb chicken breast, fruit, veggies, rice, beans, beer, yogurt, etc. Its the only way to eat healthy for < $20k food budget annually.
