If bringing in multiple stuff in to someone else’s house I sometimes leave something on the roof of the car knowing I will be right back. I never thought something like this could happen lol. I’ve literally seen a squirrel eat an eclair like a sandwich. It’s not just people you should be worried about. No I’m talking about Routine Activities Theory, it’s pretty simple you can understand it with far fewer words than your ridiculous copy and paste answer. Likely someone on a tight schedule knocked and dropped it to get other deliveries done. At least they were delivered instead of the driver marking it as delivered and it showing up the next day, like FedEx likes to do. You’ll catch someone else. Which is fine and all. But you won’t catch the original person probably. This was a crime of opportunity. Buy some donuts, pump them full of laxatives and leave them at your door. They even leave out little baggies. People will sit and wait for this to happen with grocery bags and load them up with as many as they can carry. These aren’t homeless or destitute people either, they’re upper middle class corporate office workers. At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the delivery service person who took it, right after dropping it off and taking a pic of it. I mean, Again, you leave donuts or a cold six pack out there and no one to be found…. It will be gone in less than a minute. This box is way too intriguing to leave unintended. If it was a drop off it should be in something less conspicuous Sorry. But we shouldn’t have to hide our doughnuts like they are a diamond ring. People are brazen like this because they know nothing will happen. Could’ve been an animal. same happened to me w fresh eggs dropped off. Went to the door to grab them they were emptied down the driveway. Just fell the looks of things seems Leon the wrong type of neighborhood for this kind of “leaving outside the door for more than a minute”
