I have a 15 year old and yeah unfortunately I can’t help but blame those covid years when he was in critical middle school years. I’m not a teacher but this came up in my feed. This is absolutely depressing. I have reported multiple families and have gone back to find nothing has been done.

So worried about getting my first round of Gen Alpha kids next year. It’s already rough but I know it is going to be worse. What I would love is as a teaching community can we create a comprehensive list of gaps we are seeing and solutions/lessons/resources we are using to solve them. I teach Career and Technical Education and my curriculum is more flexible than most. If I need to make an adjustments to support student learning I am happy to.
