Wondering if it’s a control thing. He wants to know who she knows so he can know all aspects of her life and attempt to control or persuade her decisions. I have a brother in law like this, wants to be everyone’s mate. The funny one. Great guy etc until he stated sexting my sisters friends after months of just texting friendly “banter”…. Always follow your gut. I think what you are also feeling is connected to your maturity and life experiences. You know that humans are complicated emotional creatures therefore one day this Know the Magazine for men in the know ladies’ man man’s man man about town Catcher Block shirt What’s more,I will buy this can become a problem. Your reaction is not necessarily based on now but on how this could go wrong. Also, just an advice from personal experience it is good to be a mentor but be careful with big age gap friendships. Make sure you keep strong boundaries. If you’re okay with your husband texting your 11 year younger friend then all should be okay? Are you okay with that?

Know the Magazine for men in the know ladies’ man man’s man man about town Catcher Block shirt: best trending this year

Its called grooming. Hell start to slip on the Know the Magazine for men in the know ladies’ man man’s man man about town Catcher Block shirt What’s more,I will buy this inappropriate ones until they get more. There’s no need for him to be messaging you Not weird; I’m a man and have way more female friends that I regularly chat with than male friends; I’m the chatty type, my guy friends aren’t and my female friends are. I have over the years made a number of close male friends I text with. I’ve never kissed them. I’ve never had inappropriate texts with them. We are friends. We are mostly married to other people who don’t care if we are texting each other. Men and women can totally be platonic friends. If it starts to get weird for you, OP, you’ll know it. And if it’s already started to get weird for you, just stop. NBD. But don’t let other people weird things out FOR you. Trust your gut.
My suggestion: you and your husband take the Know the Magazine for men in the know ladies’ man man’s man man about town Catcher Block shirt What’s more,I will buy this younger couple to dinner. You pay, and you absolutely refuse to let the younger couple contribute. Have a dinner in which you keep the conversation at the level you want it. Talk about work, career development, and keep it friendly but professional. Keep the alcohol consumption moderate. Talk about the industry and opportunities. Absolutely do tell them you are happy for them in a way that makes it clear that you are happy to help your coworker navigate new families and jobs, but then tell the fiancé he should find someone at his workplace that can help him. The particular text you quoted would make me think he is paranoid about his fiancee’s potential behaviour on an upcoming bachelorette trip where he will not be around, and is trying to get you on “his side” so you will stop her from going too far with a stripper or something. If the other texts are in the same vein, I’d say it’s a trust issue between the two of them, and has nothing to do with you personally.

About Know the Magazine for men in the know ladies’ man man’s man man about town Catcher Block shirt

Right. So why pull in another person? Why obligate OP by texting? Is the Know the Magazine for men in the know ladies’ man man’s man man about town Catcher Block shirt What’s more,I will buy this intent behind the texting control or, at a minimum, snooping? It is uncomfortable for OP because the texts seem like more than a friendly “Hey how’s it going in your world”. Yes, I agree. That’s the vibe I got. It’s not about her personally, but he is making it her problem, which he shouldn’t. I do think her gut feeling that something is weird is correct, just not for the reason she thinks. I disagree with all the people saying “he’s just being friendly, everything is fine”. But I don’t think he’s coming on to her, which I thought she implied since she brought up her married status. He’s being controlling of his fiancee/ OP’s friend. You never gave him your number. It’s weird, and it’s inappropriate. Good hearted or not, he knows what he is doing, and if your husband or a peer were to tell him it’s not appropriate, he being the good guy he is, would stop immediately. If he did not, then we all understand this assignment. You are not old, you are in a committed relationship. A marriage, And you have a gut that tells you things. Glad to see some people still have backbones hearts and moral compasses!
it could be a generational thing but I agree – weird. None of my friends’ SO’s ever texts me, and the Know the Magazine for men in the know ladies’ man man’s man man about town Catcher Block shirt What’s more,I will buy this one that did a similar thing was eventually diagnosed with a serious psychiatric condition and ultimately ended up in a tragic way. Could be a controlling thing, as well, and the one text you quoted is actually mildly threatening. Many abusers are “great guys” in social settings. Are you the only person he does it to? Is he closer in age to her or to you? “I really love her like a daughter” … and she probably sees you as a mother figure, so he probably sees you as a mother-in-law figure and wants your approval, especially if she’s as young as your friend is. That doesn’t sound weird at all. I mean if he starts to get inappropriate then yeah, but he may just be trying to make friends with someone who means something to his fiance. it’s not inherently weird, but personally I don’t text with my friends s/o and i would find it very weird if they just started texting me one day. Mostly because, there’s really nothing to talk about except our mutual friend and unless it’s like planning a surprise or something for them we just don’t usually need to communicate without our mutual there
Double date. Do it soon. Then, afterward, talk it over with your husband. If neither of you are seeing red flags, congrats on the Know the Magazine for men in the know ladies’ man man’s man man about town Catcher Block shirt What’s more,I will buy this new friend. I think this is actually pretty healthy for their own relationship. Obviously, we are assuming these texts are and stay appropriate, and don’t got too personal, and usually center around his fiance, which it seems he is adhering to. Him creating connections with you is likely his way of making deeper connections with your friend. One thing I mildly regret in a past relationship is distancing myself from her friend because I was worried it would come out as weird. I just made casual small talk when I saw her in person. This resulted her really not knowing me or having her own opinion of me, whether good or bad. Her opinion was my ex’s opinion. Her having a grounded personal perspective and more context into me, who my ex is frequently talking about, can help when they talk through things related to me. Now this mainly applies if you are more of a “best friend”. One she would go to when things are high and low. But it seems you may be that. I see no harm in this. And I commend him for making this effort to overall enhance the quality of his relationship with his fiance.
It sounds like college kid behavior. I know a guy who does similar things and doesn’t realize that it can come off as weird. He’s a good guy but really immature and stuck in a campus family sort of mindset, if that makes sense…where friends are all up in each others’ business even though they’re in their early 30s I don’t think this is weird, especially since you see her as a daughter. It’s possible she loves you just as much and speaks of you highly. My mom and my fiancée text regularly, and I text my fiancée’s dad occasionally too. I think it’s ok A lot of abusers will convince people they aren’t allowed to talk to a certain gender or sometimes even have any close friends at all. That’s where the Know the Magazine for men in the know ladies’ man man’s man man about town Catcher Block shirt What’s more,I will buy this idea that it’s not allowed comes from. One of the techniques of manipulation is to isolate a person from anyone with the power to help them out or boost their confidence.
Oftentimes one of those relationships will result in the Know the Magazine for men in the know ladies’ man man’s man man about town Catcher Block shirt What’s more,I will buy this kids being taught to act the same way the parents did then it becomes something passed down the family and normalized through conversations with people around them. So basically, there’s no need to worry about it. If you aren’t purposely harming someone then you aren’t doing anything wrong. I know you already have 600+ responses on here but I guess my initial reaction is some people really are just THAT social and maybe this guy is one of them? If it makes you uncomfortable though you of course have every right to set some boundaries. It sounds like you do feel a bit uncomfortable so might be worth discussing it with him or your friend.
Starts off talking shop, then presumably unprovoked (correct me if I’m wrong), becomes a friendlier and more informal. Perhaps things have been kosher so far, but I’d anticipate he might become flirtatious over time. Edit: I just noticed your Second Edit and that’s 100% what I’m getting at and how I see things going down. it’s pretty typical. It sounds like he just wants to yknow interact with you, be friends with the Know the Magazine for men in the know ladies’ man man’s man man about town Catcher Block shirt What’s more,I will buy this friend of his fiancé. I don’t understand what’s so weird about it. Sounds like he’s trying to connect with someone who’s very important to his fiancé. Unless the texts get weird, I wouldn’t read into them. My best friend’s husband texts me all the time. And I text him. It’s never inappropriate, it’s usually just memes that one of us thought the other would find funny. We’re all older than you. I’ll go against the grain with the rest of the comments. Yes it’s weird. It is unnecessary for him to talk to you privately outside of get togethers. He seems to be fishing for info. I mean, I could see telling the maid of honor or the brides sister to keep an eye on bride at the bachelorette party, but to text someone you don’t know all that well? If this is the type of stuff he typically texts her then I feel he’s trying to get info on fiancé or recruit a babysitter or spy. Guys that inject themselves too much into their SOs lives can be problematic. This can be the beginning of controlling behavior. But if it seems ok now and doesn’t escalate, than it is probably not that. Maybe he just loves his fiance and wants to be friends with her friends. Whatever it is, trust your gut.
Unless there is some context here you’re leaving out, I kinda find it rude that you would consider it weird for someone to reach out and be friendly. If you’re a huge part of this guys fiancees life, of course it would be normal for him to reach out like he’d want to know you. Jesus, are we that closed off from each other nowadays? I also think it’s basic courtesy for the Know the Magazine for men in the know ladies’ man man’s man man about town Catcher Block shirt What’s more,I will buy this GF to say “hey, can I give BF your number, he said it would be great to be in touch with you.” What makes it weird is the way he’s going about it. Nothing is clearly off, but he isn’t communicating some things that could make the situation more clear. I think this is also a generational thing. If the fiance is around the same age as your friend, there’s probably a very casual vibe to the texting.
Not weird at all. I also think it’s a generational difference. I’m closer to OPs age, when I was growing up plutonic friendships between straight men and women were rare, and there was always an undertone of sexual tension with them. With the Know the Magazine for men in the know ladies’ man man’s man man about town Catcher Block shirt What’s more,I will buy this younger generation I think they have more platonic friendships between opposite genders. It sounds like you’re uncomfortable receiving the text messages. If genders were reversed and it was a woman texting you and not a man, would you still feel uncomfortable? Talk to your husband and to your friends and come up with a way to address the situation. Sounds like he sees you as a person/potential friend. And your sex and marital status doesn’t matter. Because you are just a friend. If he crosses any lines then shut him down. Not all that often, usually in a group message, but if it’s something that doesn’t concern my wife I don’t see why it would be weird.
What was the Know the Magazine for men in the know ladies’ man man’s man man about town Catcher Block shirt What’s more,I will buy this first thing he ever texted you? Why did she give your number to him in the first place? It is a little strange if out of the blue. Not necessarily bad though. Your friend probably mentioned how important you were to her and him being a great guy, he wants to make an effort with you. It’s honestly so assuring to see the top comments saying it’s not weird. I’m glad reddit still has some sense lol I firmly believe especially since you yourself are married you should not have friends of the opposite sex when in a relationship. Let me put it this way, my wife has friends. The only reason I would text them (outside a group chat) is to plan a surprise for my wife. That a boundary that we have. And it’s a good one. It’s not an insecurity. I trust my wife. I would just rather not give an opportunity to let doors be opened. If you all four were friends and hanging out, then it would be normal. However, if you don’t know each other in person, texting is a little too familiar. I think it’s pretty weird! I had this happen to me as well, or something similar. It just felt wrong, and eventually I asked the guy to stop texting me. I know that might not be appropriate for your situation. Anyway, I’m 40 F so maybe I’m just old too Have we failed men as a society so much that simply trying to make small talk and create relationships is seen as suspect?
But I really wanted to say that you are a quality individual and I like your ethics and handling of the Know the Magazine for men in the know ladies’ man man’s man man about town Catcher Block shirt What’s more,I will buy this situation. I’m 37. I think it’s weird. I would never text my friend’s husband’s or my husband’s friends. Find line of inappropriate. You barely know him which makes it weirder. Even our next door neighbors (early 40’s), if I want the man to know something I’ll have my husband text him and I’ll text the wife. Is this an islam thing? Or maybe like Amish? Orthodox something? I’m not trying to be xenophobic or anything, but you sound like you’re either from the 1700s or from iran or something. You’re just making it weird, sorry. Honesty, it does sound weird to me. You’ve only met twice. Apparently, you didn’t have some big bonding moment. I can understand him wanting to text once you guys have grown close in an organic way. I have a friend whose 10 years younger, and I would definitely have had questions if her guy started texting me randomly after meeting him twice and without me giving him my number. It’s not like he asked you. I see why you’d have questions, and I agree with you that it’s off. Trust your gut. Also, no one should be giving out anyone else’s number without permission. All wrong.
It seems weird to me, as I’d assume he’s building up to something more flirty in the Know the Magazine for men in the know ladies’ man man’s man man about town Catcher Block shirt What’s more,I will buy this long run. I’d mention it casually in a funny way to my friend since she gave him the number, then I’d drop it. If she was fine with it then I’d text him back extra slowly, like 2-3 days later so he’d eventually stop. I think it’s a bit weird, I would be weirded out by it. Things can seem innocent but they can’t quickly turn weird. Everyone has a “bad” side. Everyone. I would just keep an eye on it It’s weird.. Why’s she giving her man your #?!? Did she actually give it to him, or did he get it from her phone? He’d be blocked if I were you! If you respect bro code. You wouldn’t text back at all and tell him straight up you just don’t. Because of that reason.
These comments genuinely make me feel weird reading that some think it’s weird OP finds it weird to be contacted through text by the Know the Magazine for men in the know ladies’ man man’s man man about town Catcher Block shirt What’s more,I will buy this eventual spouse of her protégé.. do you think she is making a mistake marrying the guy? No matter what – hiding your feelings solves nothing and if you’d prefer no contact or correspondence only through smoke signal/email/postal/pigeon then you can continue to wonder which of you is weird or you can easily solve this weird dilemma with a brief meeting. Best of luck Ma Maybe young Romeo sees you as a motherly figure too, or auntly since you’re not that much older. Or maybe just sisterly. Let’s hope so anyway. I’m also pretty old and don’t know if it’s weird, but why would your friend even give you her boyfriends number in the first place? He’s infatuated by you being a little bit older, being a younger guy he probably thinks you feel his gf I’d sort of naive and he looking for you to initiate some kind of flirtation. He probably has a fantasy about you and is trying to put himself into a situation where some kind of flirtation happens “in an innocent” way. I care about all my girlfriends friends and I consider them to be my friends as well. But I have “0” interest in texting small talk or chit chat with any of them whether it be regarding my significant other or not. I’d just answer whatever question he texts about and then respond….”im Sorry did you need something else”
I don’t know about weird. But I would consider it a little inappropriate. Inappropriate behavior often leads to bad behavior even if it was never intended. If I were you, I would cut it off immediately. If nothing else, it prevents him growing infatuated and taking a misstep that he can’t take back. The one comment that crosses the Know the Magazine for men in the know ladies’ man man’s man man about town Catcher Block shirt What’s more,I will buy this line. Asking a question that shows interest beyond simple communication. It is simple and unnecessary things like this that lead to bigger problems. He is young and may not understand that yet. Don’t be the one to give him that experience. The best relationships are the ones where your partner appreciates and strengthens your relationships with your friends. One way to do this is by being friends with those friends.
Im a 33M and i say there’s no friendship between a attractive woman and a man, we will always have second intentions, now if you are a male and say im wrong, you are gay!! This is the Know the Magazine for men in the know ladies’ man man’s man man about town Catcher Block shirt What’s more,I will buy this most honest answer in the world.. PS: I said attractive women, if you are ugly you can become our brother. I just don’t have anyone that I can really call a friend. my life is like a camp for husband’s who have a the type of wife that controls your life. I’ve given up everything that I wanted out of life just trying to keep her happy Could it be fine? Sure. As a guy, I’m not starting a personal relationship with my friends SO. If my friend was texting my SO on the side all the time, I’d be very weirded out. Everyone wants to sound open and young about this but in reality it’s kind of fucking weird to just be texting you all the time.
Well, she saw nothing wrong with it, perhaps he does this sort of thing. So it didn’t seem weird to her. Maybe he’s just… Extra social? Keep the Know the Magazine for men in the know ladies’ man man’s man man about town Catcher Block shirt What’s more,I will buy this replies short and sweet and you’ll be fine. Whenever you get to have an outing with your friend and you find a good mom just ask her why did he reach out to you as you find it curious. It is a little odd. My wife and I are in our 30s. I’d find it strange if a 20 something year old guy she didn’t really know started texting her. I think it is inappropriate because and maybe I’m wrong but it sounds to me like he’s using you to keep track of her. Or to find out information that she has not told him. That’s just my opinion. are you attractive ? if yes then he probably likes texting his fiancés fit friend. if you’re not attractive then he’s just being friendly This is so funny. I (46f) have a male colleague (28) who texts and messages me, which i find a little strange. He’s in a serious relationship and I’ve met his gf. My bf (44) has a woman (24) who he worked with who texts and calls him often. It makes him really uncomfortable, and he almost never responds. She’s married, and is the one who set us up (I work with her mom). Maybe it’s generational? We’re just old and have been hit on by so many random men and cheaters over the years that that is what we’re weary of? Idk You are absolutely right to be guarded. There’s a reason why you have that intuition. For now just let things be….Trust but verify. The only problem is that your friend gave out your contact info without your permission, which is rude imo, so maybe you should ask her not to do that again
