Ok, now take the I’m actually not funny I’m just mean and people think I’m joking baby yoda shirt and by the same token and sandwich out of the Childs mouth and tell it now you cannot eat, I will not donate 1 dollar to feed a hungry child I usually just say, if I am asked by the cashier would you like to donate to charity, I say I’ve already donated. It’s all about scale – if every working adult in the US donated $20, that’s about $3 billion. Most households wouldn’t notice the loss of funds. It’s much harder for a $10 billion corporation to donate $3 billion… and the public could do it multiple times per year with little strain. The corporation couldn’t. A 10 billion dollar corporation could absolutely donate 3 billion and not see much impact. They’d probably make it all back in one year. Meanwhile when you’re living paycheck to paycheck and relying on coupons to feed yourself until that next check 20 dollars matters.

I’m actually not funny I’m just mean and people think I’m joking baby yoda shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

Smart people tell me that when you donate, these large corporations write it off as a deduction for charitable donation. Then, they pass the I’m actually not funny I’m just mean and people think I’m joking baby yoda shirt and by the same token and savings off to you! I always declined. Usually these charities are affiliated with the company im purchasing something from anyway. It’s infuriating. Also when I donate $20 I want the credit for it. I don’t want to give it to a corporation who then gets the credit for the generosity. Especially annoying cause they use that donation you gave as a tax deductible on their end. They save money on taxes off yiur donation. HEY ITS BECAUSE THEIR SON/DAUGHTER/WIFE/FRIEND Sits on the board of of said charity. And gets paid to do so. Its a money funneling scheme. Also in the same vein, although it makes me feel kind of bad to say this, how it feels like literally every place with the latest electronic payment kiosks asks for tips by default now with only the default options set of 10-15-20% or whatever other flavor. Sometimes there is a no tip option on the bottom but more often then not you have to click other and then purposefully put 0 and its often on a nice big screen for everyone and their mother to see what you select. I don’t and shouldn’t need to tip at literally every business I visit. Like I go to the bagel shop, tips, burger fast food places, tips, barber shop, tips. Ffs. Sure have an add a tip option during check out but don’t shove it in everyone’s face constantly, it should be designed as opt in not opt out for settings where tipping is not normal.
