I think the point is that the managers have no training whatsoever. They probably just got hired based on their magnanimous personalities. Ah yes put it on the I Am Brenough Shirt and I love this day that people want to get drunk or relax to not have to worry about work and then for the cherry on top 8am Used to work at Popeyes with monthly mandatory meetings scheduled on my days off. I never once showed up. Worst job I ever had. When I was working in a dormitory a few years ago we had “similar”. In the sense that it was mandatory on paper, we were told even by the director that you did not have to show up. Around 30-35% of people did not show up, including me. What kind of meeting could Popeyes have that couldn’t be covered in a few minutes during a slow period during each shift over the week? I’d send a copy of this along with the restaurant location to Popeyes’s corporate HR department. I’m guessing this isn’t exactly corporate protocol for staff meetings. This is from me. I like to go into random fast food bathrooms and tell the employees what to do via official company letter taped to wall. That’s how I came to stop working for Kentucky fried! Scheduled all week, then off on Saturday. “Saturday mandatory meeting”, bye fuckers! While you’re not at that meeting you could be interviewing somewhere else that treats their most important people with the respect they deserve. Likely make more money too. More than minimum slave rates.
