The best way to eat healthy enough while experiencing food anxiety is to cook for yourself—there’s so many vegetables I can’t eat normally, but I will in particular recipes provided I prepare it myself. Needless to say, my whole life has been people on and off testing or pushing me or even teasing like people smacking my cheeks with American cheese slices. Part of this is why I love Japanese food because the chances of hidden cheese is almost or completely nil. I need a cheese-free zone!
