I had a similar issue and they wouldn’t budge until I put in a claim with the Ghost Band Rock Impera Cover Metallic shirt moreover I will buy this BBB that’s ridiculous. i’d demand you be able to return it. i would insist they sent you the wrong item because it looks nothing like what you ordered i realized recently anything custom or on back order from crate and barrel – they’re just getting it deep down some supply chain in china – no quality control what so ever. i’d only stick to the more common stuff in the store / available now / etc i also noticed some of the special order stuff was available from other weird sellers online etc – super shady. like some weird luxury amazon hoax I work in design and regularly have customers order natural stone materials, I even have pieces of marble in my kitchen backsplash. This is just the nature of natural materials. I’ve had customers order stone that the sample looks gray in the store and I told them it can be anything from a warm gray to a taupe and they still act surprised when it comes in and doesn’t match their cool gray decor. Carrara marble can be anything from mostly white to mostly blue gray and have variations of brown and gold in it as well. Some companies are very selective in their variations, some are not. Crate and Barrel is still a mass manufacturing company and will not hand select the material for color. It’s an expensive lesson, but it’s why it’s a good idea to have design consultants to advise regarding really expensive furniture selection.

I craft and refurbish/restore furniture for a living. I bend over backwards to make sure my customers are happy. And everything I sell is exactly as advertised. It’s criminal what big businesses do to customers. It’s greed. Nothing more. Customers are nothing more than wallets to add to their coffers. We’re not real people to them.
