Advice? Dress in whatever way tthat you can convince yourself to go. Let’s be real, being in a shirt doesnt suddenly make someone confident. And just because someone’s baring more skin doesnt mean theyre necessarilymore confident. Easier said than done, but you just have to decide to not care. And if you can’t, then you need to decide to PRETEND to not care. My realization years ago (I never battled with notable weight issues, but definitely did struggle with body-consciousness regardless) was that no matter what you wear, people can generally tell your shape, so it’s not much of a shock to anyone get down to your skivvies. So why try to hide it? You really can’t, jajaja. I really had to do mental workouts to “fake it to make it” with confidence. Eventually it stuck! Really!!! I’m not some exception; anyone’s capable of it. I have worn a shirt over my suit when I already had a sunburn and didn’t want it to get worse. Who am I to judge people for what they wear when they’re trying to have a good time? Also, I honestly barely notice what other people look like when I’m in public. I live in Texas and I wear a shirt in the water. I am the pale shade of Hispanic and I burn. I have no issues with someone wearing a shirt.
