Sadly so many non-profits take a lot of the Best sleaford Mods The StateYour Voice T-Shirt Furthermore, I will do this raised money towards paid positions, I’d never volunteer unless it was donating the actual work of the non-profit or donating supplies. Can’t trust these ppl with money. I’ve done security at music events and no way would I do that for nothing, not with all the crap I had to put up with, especially if there is acholol sold. I volunteered to work security at a festival once and it was awesome. Spent half the day “standing guard” and the rest seeing artists I liked with free roam of anywhere I wanted to go. unpopular opinion, I love being able to volunteer at festivals for free tickets, do it every year & it saves me so much money. That’s so stupid. I mean at least get people to work one day for a free ticket to the other day. It’s so braindead not to do that. Just volunteer and don’t show up. “Oh, sorry, something else came up. I’m sure you had hundreds of other people lined up.” Okay, not sure how this is anti-work since they aren’t making you an employee and it’s for charity. If I liked the bands or the cause I’d do it. They aren’t offering a job. I do it all the time, I’ve even done security at events. Their wording on the post is a little off, and when volunteering for events it should be “work x hours, get to enjoy the rest of the event for free” (this doesn’t sound like that) – but still, it’s not as bad as some of the shit we see in people looking for free labor.

Of course we are. I’d rather pay $800 to sit over a hundred rows back than give up my time to be right next to the Best sleaford Mods The StateYour Voice T-Shirt Furthermore, I will do this stage for 2 hours. Not sure I agree with you OP. 9 hours does seem long for a single shift, but I’m not sure that is what they are saying. It seems those are just the hours they need. Typically when volunteering they allow you to volunteer some of the time since someone working 7 hours is better than them not working at all. It’s also going to depend on what this event is and who is running it. If it truly is a non-for-profit/ volunteer organization, it’s understandable. One of my friends volunteered at a convention and she was verbally abused for long wait times all alone having to face off people twice her age screaming at her. She broke down because of this, music festival are a hundred times worst. You are dealing with drugged/drunk people who are very willing to get physical.
