As a nanny, having your nanny family treat you like family is actually nice. It’s not a normal work environment. I’m literally there to take care of their home and all family members. But if I do, it’s a movie day. I take the kids to events and I host playdates with their friends. I run the household errands and get food. The professional boundaries with nannying is different then an office or other role. I have been in office positions were people make adult jokes or have drinks with co-workers have. Those would be inappropriate with my nanny family.
