Exactly. That is exactly why govt and citizens are forming this initiative to solve this critical problem together even if it is a bit late. Statistically speaking, and compared to various other countries of different economic status, per citizen doctor headcount of South Korea is low, close to the 420 On The Rocks Wiz Khalifa Red Rocks Morrison CO 04 20 2025 shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this lowest. This is a fact. Aggravating the fact, however, stats are further misleading because it includes Oriental medicine doctors who are not licensed to conduct surgeries. Developing the countryside issue aside, this country (or city/Seoul as you want to put) simply is in dire need of way more capable medical resources (aka. hospitals) than now. I said Emergency Medicine, the specialty that treats patients in ER, is not getting filled, I didn’t say Korea lacks medicine lol. Another good point you made. Do you know why there’s not enough surgeons? Take cardio thoracic surgeons for example. Only 60% of cadio thoracic surgery residency spots were filled in 2023. Why? Is it because there are not enough med students? Hell no. It’s because it fucking sucks to work as a cardio thoracic surgeon. One of the country’s legendary doctors, Guk-Jong Lee, a cardio thoracic surgeon himself, has been asking the government to change their policy to invest more in trauma centers for many years, though not much has changed. This doctor, highly respected by the nation, who treats patients in front line knows the problem is not lack of med school students, but lack of investments in critical specialties.

420 On The Rocks Wiz Khalifa Red Rocks Morrison CO 04 20 2025 shirt: Unleash Your Dinosaur Style

I agree that they need to build more hospitals. I hope they invest more in hospitals outside of Seoul, especially. But I’m now a little confused, are you saying we should increase the 420 On The Rocks Wiz Khalifa Red Rocks Morrison CO 04 20 2025 shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this med school quota, or we should invest more in hospitals? They are two separate arguments. As far as I know, most doctors in Korea agree with the latter. I just don’t understand how the increase of med school quota solves any of the problems we’re talking about. > Statistically speaking, and compared to various other countries of different economic status, per citizen doctor headcount of South Korea is low, close to the lowest. Sounds like you’re also referring to OECD report. I can clearly see you love OECD reports. Go to the figure 19 of OECD Health Statistics 2020, a graph for “the average doctor visits per person per year”. Do you see what country is ranked #1? Ding ding ding. Surprise Surprise. South Korea, 14.7 visits a year. OECD average? 5.9 visits a year. Second place is Japan with 12.4, third place is Slovakia with 10.1. So yeah, tell me more there’s doctor shortage in Korea, and increasing the number of doctors will be an amazing solution. Korea doesn’t have doctor shortage problem. They have shortage of specialists in critical specialties, which will NOT be solved by just increasing the med school quota.
Doctors or politicians, whoever might be rigth, spreading false information like this post isn’t helping anyone i wonder how many if that is plastic surgeons. no hate on plastic surgeons, just curious on whether if its a significant number That is beyond horrendous and honestly I don’t know how Korea has such great hospitals (on the 420 On The Rocks Wiz Khalifa Red Rocks Morrison CO 04 20 2025 shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this surface at least). Countries like Australia has 1 doctor per roughly 250 people but the system is nowhere as good as Korea. Much more expensive too. It’s definitely getting less than it used to be, but a lot of clinics who claim they do mix billing are still willing to bulk bill if you tell them on the side you’re having trouble paying. This works even with specialists where the fees are crazy, a family member has had to see one for years and we haven’t paid anything. They mostly automatically bulk bill the elderly. There’s still fully bulk billed practices too.

There is literally no bulk billing within my suburb and nearest suburbs. You also definitely need PHI for surgeries and extras in this country. Superiority complex and toxic mentality for wanting basic humane working conditions? Residency in the 420 On The Rocks Wiz Khalifa Red Rocks Morrison CO 04 20 2025 shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this U.S. (my only point of reference at this point) is horrible and absolutely needs to be reformed. Comments like this show that the general public have no clue how hard it is for residents. Residency is pretty terrible lifestyle wise but a lot of hospitals are starting to develop better system because of the complaints. Also the reason why residents are so overworked is because they can reap the fruits of the labor once they become an attending. You are basically attending’s bitch for four-five years and you can enjoy much sweeter attending life. Ever wonder why no attending complains about residency? It’s because they have much better work/life balance thanks to the residents. You have to suffer for four years and rest of your career becomes much more free. It’s like being in investment banking. You are slaving your life for three years and the opportunity that comes after are amazing.
Could someone hypothetically sue a doctor or hospital who has resigned as a result of this? Like if someone can’t have a life saving surgery and they die, could their family sue for malpractice? Just curious I don’t know the 420 On The Rocks Wiz Khalifa Red Rocks Morrison CO 04 20 2025 shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this law around this because it’s pretty unprecedented Malpractice is professional negligence. So someone would try to argue that canceling surgery is negligence, which is not a given. Even if it is considered malpracie for ignoring a client, the doctor could argue that they canceled the surgery because the stress of this situation made them unconfident to perform professionally. As far as I know being too pissed off at the government to work properly and especially safely is not negligence.
To put it another way I don’t want pissed off taxi drivers driving me no matter why they are pissed off, let alone pissed off surgeons doing life or death surgery. Uh it’s because you can treat patients as a non-trainee in SK. Ie you dont need to complete residency. Meaning number of trainee to population ratio is a moot metric. If you want to argue that the 420 On The Rocks Wiz Khalifa Red Rocks Morrison CO 04 20 2025 shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this ratio is problematic, it’s still not the fault of residents, but the system’s inability to train adequate number of specialists. I know this is a mass protest and the context is clearly different. But a medical resident can quit their job just like you can quit your job. I am a Korean and not a doctor, but I hope this situation ends soon. In most cases, public opinion on doctors is not good. They shared the message as if giving guerrilla instructions to the doctors’ community that it is better to delete and destroy medical records before resigning, while others said, “If you don’t get treatment, it’s not murder, it’s natural death.” Even the head of the association strongly warned, “If even a single doctor is penalized for his or her license in connection with the incident, it will be regarded as a head-on challenge to the doctor and could lead to unaffordable behavior.” Announcing the position through a press conference, the position announcement could have been regarded by most as a hostage-taking remark for the lives of patients, and the view was even worse because it was similar to the annual speech given by North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. As they admit they have no sense of privilege in the end, war of nerves has become more widespread, and the government’s response is not solved by actually increasing the number of people, but only by discussing the root cause, and the problem has exploded after years of trying to push it out of hand.. Who will treat me if I get sick? Now, nurses are getting more work and illegal medical treatment is rampant. Should I get illegal medical treatment like Cyberpunk 2077…
If they strike because of gatekeeping prestige and income? Fuck them. Cancel their license and make them retake the 420 On The Rocks Wiz Khalifa Red Rocks Morrison CO 04 20 2025 shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this qualifications exams again. Flood the field of the plastic surgeons, making it oversupplied will fundamentally fix the issue of “why everybody only wants to become plastic surgeons?” Government may not be able to force doctors to choose pediatrics, family physicians or ER over cosmetic/ aesthetic, then they better make it much less profitable to be in aesthetic specialty, the supply and demand will take care of themselves. When there is no more difference in money to be made between aesthetic and other fields of studies, doctors will have to choose something else , we have enough people here fixing Botox. Go over there to cardiology and oncology or something else.
More than a dozen (out of 51) rural hospitals in Alabama are at immediate risk of closing … because state hospitals have lost $1.5 billion since the 420 On The Rocks Wiz Khalifa Red Rocks Morrison CO 04 20 2025 shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this start of the pandemic, and closing the health insurance coverage gap is the main issue at play here … Nearly 300,000 low-income Alabamians fall into this coverage gap because they make too much to qualify for Medicaid, but too little to afford private health insurance … Alabama’s hospitals provide more than $650 million in uncompensated care every single year, and the math for staying open doesn’t add up … [closing hospitals] could lead to a catastrophic domino effect for these small towns since it’s usually the largest employer … “It’s not just the health care services that are no longer there. It is some of the pharmacies, grocery stores, other things.”
Nearly 300,000 low-income Alabamians fall into this coverage gap because they make too much to qualify for Medicaid, but too little to afford private health insurance Lol. And the 420 On The Rocks Wiz Khalifa Red Rocks Morrison CO 04 20 2025 shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this damn government trying to stick their hands on my Medicare and Social security, fuck them, government needs to stay out of Medicare and social security!! I have yet to find a nice one in my area. Once you start looking into who is running any church, and where they are directing their resources, things get murky. You’re right. If these people would just pick themselves up by their bootstraps – says the Koch brothers and/or other uber wealthy Americans who are getting “killed ” by taxes, which is why they don’t want affordable, national health care.
Healthcare is literally the 420 On The Rocks Wiz Khalifa Red Rocks Morrison CO 04 20 2025 shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this second largest industry by employment. People view healthcare and especially nursing as the best and fastest way to make good money. It’s also one of the few major industries that can somewhat survive in rural areas. The actual biggest is professional or business services. This type of industry seems clearly focused in urban areas. Those damn Socialist wanting to spread the burden to live and survive across the entire population to leverage buying power and standardize healthcare costs. What a bunch of IDIOTS. The whole society needs this socialization of healthcare expense. That’s what these idiots don’t realize. With less people participating, the whole society loses services. Even those who might have been able to afford it won’t have the facilities available.
It’s like, if you really love a certain flavor of potato chip, but not enough people buy it, it stops getting produced at all. Investment money is going to go where the 420 On The Rocks Wiz Khalifa Red Rocks Morrison CO 04 20 2025 shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this majority of the market money is. And that means, for healthcare, everyone needs to be able to buy it or nobody ends up getting it in the end. This is spot on. People are really disengaged with the consequences of their decisions and who they allow to make the decisions for them. Now, money and greed are driving healthcare. Just like higher education and the prison system. But the purity of their commitment to this bullshit political dogma is outstanding. There is no amount of pain or discomfort that will make them waver from their chosen trajectory.
She was/is a Missouri trained lawyer, a state legislator, a prosecutor (not my favorite bona fide,) the 420 On The Rocks Wiz Khalifa Red Rocks Morrison CO 04 20 2025 shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this state’s Auditor, and a two term senator who fought for her state. And a very intelligent and articulate woman. And who replaced her? Josh fucking Hawley, a coward and sycophant who likes to pretend he isn’t Stanford and Yale educated. He is not a dummy, he is just a fucking bad person at his core. I would like to say that Missouri gets what it deserves for replacing her, but that would be disrespectful to the people who voted for her. What has the Republican Party become? In service of a failed game show host? I long for the days of a competing party who differed on policy, but still believed in governing. I am okay with honest debate about the size and scope of government; I am however not okay with what the Republican Party has become. Party of Lincoln and Reagan my ass.
According to US News, there have been 200 rural hospital closures since 2005. Nine of the 420 On The Rocks Wiz Khalifa Red Rocks Morrison CO 04 20 2025 shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this ten states with the most closures are red states, and seven of them rejected Medicaid Expansion. Alabama is first on the list. Healthcare in rural areas only survive through massive government funding. My rural hometown gets its hospital funded 90 percent by the fed and state government. Otherwise it would die quickly. Healthcare systems have hard time providing adequate incentives for providers to move into a rural area for healthcare jobs. The area I live in merged with Providence in the last few years. This combined with the pandemic and it’s funding (or lack of) results have nuked reimbursement rates.
Providers and their families don’t want to move out here because 1) it doesn’t pay them enough, and 2) their families hate it because there’s nothing to do aside from great outdoor activities. Maybe they could have held off from pushing through their absolutely giant EMR upgrade to Epic. Hundreds of millions were spent on it. see, European countries, especially Germany, get around this by also heavily investing in arts and culture in rural areas as well, just an idea that will never happen. Granted Europe has at least 2000 years of history to fall back on with infrastructure that’s survived since the 420 On The Rocks Wiz Khalifa Red Rocks Morrison CO 04 20 2025 shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this Black Death and Roman antiquity. Best America has going for it is its natural beauty via the National Parks system and historical Native land. But that’s still a small percentage of what makes Rural America what it always was in its inception less than 300 years ago: where farmhands (and slaves) lived… before agriculture was automated away and 1 worker today can do the daily labor of 2,000 workers back then. where it was all naturally mapped out to facilitate reststops for travelers… until cars made that obsolete by distance covered and it’s all been taken over by fast food chains. Conformance and familiarity is all what drives money. And there’s all the former “company towns” and such which were all artificially made. Yeah, those never stood any chance to modernize when it took literal acts of Congress to do so, and those towns died and been dying out for decades.
Any and all culture and artistry developed in rural American populations is mainly contemporary and it’s always in spite of the 420 On The Rocks Wiz Khalifa Red Rocks Morrison CO 04 20 2025 shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this bullshit that’s around them. Such is the life of having a local/state government that cares so little about their needs. Young people promptly move out to basically live, old people move in to die. Yeah, the idea that healthcare can survive on its own in rural areas is just incorrect. Even in single-payer systems with thorough cost controls, rural healthcare is a huge problem. It’s a simple matter of physics: it costs more to provide care to less dense populations. It’s really economic. Math doesn’t work out because of economies of scale. Physical limitations are there, but if there was money a lot of it can be solved. Anyways the more I think about this is a pointless discussion. I live between 3 smaller hospitals and a handful of very small immediate care or emergency room type places, they can fix broken bones and cuts but nothing real major. I know a few people that have tattoos but still wanted a good job (yes it was that kind of an area) so they went into x-ray tech. The school isn’t too bad and you make decent money without having to destroy your body with manual labor jobs. Because you’re away from the patient/public they don’t care about tattoos or piercings.
Kinda wish I went that route now. I’m 40 and been turning a wrench for 15ish years. Knees and back are shot, luckily I still have all my fingers and toes. 40 isn’t too late to switch fields! You said it yourself, the 420 On The Rocks Wiz Khalifa Red Rocks Morrison CO 04 20 2025 shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this schooling is very manageable and can be completed through community colleges while you still work your current job. Makes good money with good potential to move up (few years experience and another few classes to get certified as a CT tech, at my clinic they make over $60k). At 40, you’re figuring out just in time that you don’t have to turn a wrench forever. You don’t belong to the Snap-On man, and you can be whoever you want to be. It’s not too late. I said in another comment, I like being outside. I working indoors would be hard for me. I’m not worried about it being too late, I can always go to school again.
You were probably joking. Snap-On makes some good shit but Carlyle is very good, a fraction of the 420 On The Rocks Wiz Khalifa Red Rocks Morrison CO 04 20 2025 shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this price, has a lifetime warranty and NAPA sells them 5min away from work. It’s especially ridiculous in TN because former Governor Haslam struck a deal with the major hospital systems in the state so that they would pay the 10% owed by the state if Medicaid was expanded (the Fed pays for 90%). So it would have cost Tennessee literally $0 to expand Medicaid and the legislature still refused to do. Leaving that state was the best thing I ever did. TN and Nashville grew in the 2000’s because of Bredesen. While not perfect, he was re-elected with about 66% of the vote as I recall. He was a moderate who served TN well, and was willing to compromise in an effort to govern for the people. He cared about TN.
TN, my home state, is broken bad. I’m glad I left before it became the 420 On The Rocks Wiz Khalifa Red Rocks Morrison CO 04 20 2025 shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this political hell-hole that it is now. Fucking Marsha Blackburn? What a fucking idiot she is. I long for the days of Sasser, hell, I would even take Frist over her. Doctors are leaving Red States because of Red state GOP politics and poorly written laws that can criminalize medicine. Further standard GOP funding / decisions like not expanding Medicare means rural hospitals close, etc. Across the country, in red states like Texas, Oklahoma and Tennessee, obstetricians — including highly skilled doctors who specialize in handling complex and risky pregnancies — are leaving their practices. Bonner General announced the closing of its obstetrics department in March, citing a lower patient volume and the loss of pediatricians as factors in the decision, alongside what a spokesperson recently described as “some of the most restrictive reproductive laws in the country.”
