The flight attendants have got better microphones for the actual important stuff like the safety briefing.

Some airlines have the PA audio routed to the entertainment display’s audio output (headphones). Through those, I can understand what the pilot is saying. I think before a pilot is even allowed to use the microphone, they have to log 500 hours of working a drive through microphone, and 1000 hours of “the speech” you hear before the roller coaster starts moving.
