The combination of exceedingly high damage potential and health, with heavy input reading and dynamic attack pattern adaptation, tied up with RNG, and then throwing boss abilities which are annoying at least miserable at worst ultimately creates unfun gaming experiences for me. i fucking love this game, its actually given me a challenge in gaming and it feels incredible to finally play a game challenging enough to have even made me hit alt+f4 once let alone how beautiful this game looks at its lowest settings despite running excellent on my 5 year old computer I was sad when almost every major boss later on was a two phase thing. Love love LOVE the game and this is definitely just a me problem but I just don’t currently have time for the longer boss fights ? kind of wish maybe it wasn’t so.

Catacombs, dungeons, side areas, etc you can just barrel through. It’s not worth exploring everything, that Lvl 3 Smithing Stone is just not worth it. And on the subject of Smithing Stones. The rarest goddamn shit in the game? God forbid I want to upgrade more than 1 weapon/staff before reaching the endgame. The bell bearings are gated behind an absurd amount of content, which is fine, except it can be really rough trying to find stones naturally through progression. It’s worsened by the open world, you may find a bunch of 5s, but if you can’t find a single 4 then you’re screwed because you took a ‘wrong’ route. And 12 of the bastard stones of EACH level? Marika’s Tits, I felt like I was upgrading my weapons once every 30 hours. You know how there are notes and tips and such that you can get? Why not some sort of notebook? Give me something to track quests in said notebook too. You literally don’t have to tell me where I need to go, just have an entry that basically reiterates that character’s sentiments and what they said. Like, sometimes when you accept a quest or say they’ll be somewhere, then you go and do things, and by the time you have done a lot, you remember oh shit, they wanted me to do something, you go back and they’re gone.
