I am only about 40 hours in, haven’t fought Godrick yet, really just exploring multiple areas and defeating field and cave/dungeon bosses as I come across them, now leveled somewhere in the mid-30s. I have three things: equipment being accumulated mostly by random drops. I started as an astrologer intending on and still mostly a magic-based build. I have so many cool pieces of gear that I can’t use at all because my strength is too low. Meanwhile, any magical staffs I have are weaker than the astrologer staff I started with, and while I found some sorcerer robes, the physical damage I take with them is too great. My preference would be a more traditional RPG-style equipment accumulation. Drops based on highest stats might not make sense, but having a more robust store would alleviate a lot of this. I just feel like I see so many people running around with cool-looking stuff, and I’m not feeling much progression on the gear side (smithing stones aside).
