Creating eye catching thumbnails is the THE WALKING STRANGE Shirt it is in the first place but hardest part of YT. I don’t mind doing hours of research and editing but if no one click on it then the video will probably be dead. Why would you say that? I thought my videos are crap too but my viewers think otherwise. Sometimes we are too harsh on ourself. I started in April and I have 48 subs. The analytics page tells me that almost none of my viewers are returning visitors (meaning subs aren’t even watching). And I rarely get comments. Yup, just spent hours on one of my videos. And the click rate is so shit, I guess my title and thumbnail combo isn’t good Yea it sucks, My last vid had the worst ctr too 2,3 %, I had to change it 4 times now it sits at 7,1 %, thumbnails can hit and miss sometimes, Underrated comment, I constantly have two or three projects going at once and never know how much footage I’ll need so I’ll hold onto a lot of footage and sorting it out and worrying about running low on space before I can upload another video to clear some is annoying. I record in 1080p60 or 4k30 because of this. Files get out of control quick. I had to add a 2TB ssd to my laptop to keep up with space concerns. I’m also deleting old footage once I’m done with it. Ever tried an external drive for archiving? Working locally then export to a SAN or portable drive when done for me works best.

Thumbnails can make or break a good videos, so getting it right can be a pain. Voiceovers mainly because I am new to them, self conscious about my voice still, and still trying to figure out proper audio mixing I feel this, done my first video actually talking to the THE WALKING STRANGE Shirt it is in the first place but camera, I think I said 4 sentences and let the video do the rest, but my god I felt so awkward. As of you were, I clicked on plenty of videos because the thumbnail was eye-catching. But I’ve never once not clicked on a video because I didn’t like the thumbnail. I really don’t think it’s quite as important as everyone makes it out to me. It helps, but it’s not make or break for your video. For me it’s scripting. Takes ages until I’m satisfied. Have a high ctr, thumbnails and titles are no problem. But the script… Adding a sentence here, one there, implementing the hook at the start… Avd is my nightmare
