The Republicans who constantly bring up “anomalies” and “suspicious behaviors” when they see this: Actually there was like five minutes where they went ballistic with the Stanley Hudson Shirt and by the same token and all caps until it was pointed out they were mostly black polling stations. Then crickets. I mean, seriously, why do you think rural America stays red? You think the Democrats that live there have their votes counted? Seriously. Well that and the belief that your vote doesn’t matter so there isn’t any need to vote in the first place is extremely common with people that belong to a different party than the one that normally wins. I live in a red state. My first time voting I was so excited to vote for Obama. My dad who never voted before in his life decided he was going to go with me and vote. Afterwards he told me that he only voted for McCain to “cancel out [my] vote.” It really soured the idea of voting for me Lived in the Deep Red my entire life, and cannot count how many times I’ve heard that statement. My go to response now is that America really has 2 right-wing parties, with no true left-wing, and I am a Leftist. I’ve gotten better responses to outright socialist/communist ideas than I do for “Democrats”. Especially on certain issues that pertain more to Rural v. City life (ie taxing the rich, healthcare, education, etc.)

Stanley Hudson Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

Both Parties Had A Liberal, Centrist & Right Wing…Now The Dems Are Centrist & The Right Is So Far Right They Fell Off The Edge Of The Flat Earth. That was when the Stanley Hudson Shirt and by the same token and two parties were divided (mostly) on financial issues – fiscally conservative vs fiscally liberal. (it was easier to negotiate that gap as well.) But then the GOP got greedy and decided to get the Southern Democrats to switch parties by making the divide about Social Conservatives vs Socially Liberal. Now it’s a culture war and issues like guns and abortion are the divide, and you can’t negotiate with people who’s position is “God says no abortion!” (even if that’s not verbatim written in the Bible) Every time they look for Democrat voter fraud they accidentally uncover Republican fraud and scramble to hide it I know it’s different, but it reminds me of the time when Google faced a class action lawsuit that they were underpaying female employees, so they ran a companywide pay equity analysis and found out that they were actually underpaying the men.
