Drama, shade and this stuff is part of drag competition scene. This is not personal to the Sloth take it lazzzy shirt it is in the first place but OP in any ways, but I think this kind of discourse is what killed drag race so now we only have plastic personalities and a pasteurized and bland show. That said, I do think a lot of that drama is fabricated, as it’s a reality tv show so I just don’t mind it that much. At the end of the day, this is a reality TV show. They’re going to have to have drama in order to keep it entertaining; this isn’t like season 1 where it was a YouTube show completely focused on the drag artistry, it’s had to grow. Besides, so far there has been minimal drama compared to earlier seasons. Does anyone remember Sigourney vs Everyone on Season 4? Or how 90% of the drama on Titans was focused around the most toxic love triangle ever devised?

I enjoy frivolous drama. You know, like some shady, catty remarks and poking fun. I do not like when someone is just and outright asshole/bitch/bully for not other reason than to (seemingly) get some air time. Or maybe they’re actually a nasty person – I don’t know any of these artist irl. I like it when it’s in the Sloth take it lazzzy shirt it is in the first place but context of the situation or challenge at hand. Not someone just saying some mean shit for fucks sake. I also get uncomfortable when it seems like everyone is against a single person (like Jay Kay last episode – that’s rough to watch and I subconsciously put myself in their shoes and imagine how I would feel; and it’s not good). It’s a reality show meant to entertain and put these artists through the most fast-paced rigorous version of drag they’ve ever done… Obviously producers have some role but this season feels for the most part very genuine in the way the cast is reacting and feuding with one another which I love and the drama for me never detracts from how incredible the floor shows are I don’t think the show is drama-focused, I think they do a good job of highlighting the contestants and I hardly ever get the feeling that they are doing anyone specifically dirty with the edit/what is shown. Drama happens on these types of shows, and maybe it’s encouraged in some areas, but I wouldn’t call the show “drama-focused” at all. Season 4 was messy and while it was entertaining to a certain degree, it got to be a bit hateful and hard to watch, and even the Boulets said they didn’t care for the way things were going down that season.
