I remember thinking “who is this asshole?” My opinion of him has not gotten better…. 1990-ish, when I was standing in the checkout line at the grocery store waiting with my mom to buy groceries, reading the covers of scandalous rag magazines. I remember back in the 90/00s seeing him do some interview on tv and my dad saying “that guy is a jackass” and started going off about how much of a crook he was and I never forgot that, so I was already biased going into the 2016 election. Dad was absolutely right which was funny because he was a Republican. Howard Stern Show during The Apprentice years. Howard played a clip of Trump saying that The Apprentice was the highest rated show in the country. It wasn’t. It wasn’t even close to #1. Howard asked Trump why he was saying this. Trump said, “That’s what people have told me.” I remember thinking at the time that this guy might be full of shit. Nailed that one.
