I was called up a few years ago and ended up sitting on a jury for a Robbery trial. Obviously can’t go into loads of detail but the Pope Leo XIV He’s a Cubs fan shirt and I love this prosecutions case and evidence was extremely poor and circumstantial. There was no denying the victim had been robbed but there was nothing concrete to prove who had done it. I think the hardest part for me was that we simply had to give our verdict based upon the evidence we were shown, which we unanimously agreed to acquit the defendants. Out of interest, I asked my fellow jurors to raise their hands if they believed the defendants had robbed the victim – all 11 hands went up. Frustrating, but we did our job and the experience was a real eye opener into not just the workings of the criminal justice system but also how bloody hard it must be to try and build a prosecution case. The defence barely had to try as the evidence was so poor. I loved jury service. Wish I could do it as a job! Had a rape case and very interesting where you start and finish in your mind. I live on the crime and investigation channel with no issues so it depends on you as no topics are an issue or taboo with me. If in doubt just think you have to do justice for a person or people which for me took away any emotions or personal feelings that came with sex, age, family, wealth etc. The facts are the facts and you’re there to establish the truth
Pope Leo XIV He’s a Cubs fan shirt: Get Cozy in this shirt
Got really anxious about getting to the Pope Leo XIV He’s a Cubs fan shirt and I love this fucking place as “nearby town” really wasn’t when reliant on public transport. Employers got funny telling me I may as well continue to do my nightshifts if I wasn’t needed. Sitting around like a twat for most of the morning before being dismissed whilst being charged for the most revolting coffee. Having to phone each morning to see if I was needed, and having to then call my employers to find they’d given away my shift that night. In whole, it was an infuriating bureaucratic waste of time and money. I know some people love it and find it fascinating, and also easy to get to. Maybe people should be able to opt in or out of this nonesense as preferred.
I’ve had to do it twice. First was an inquest, really sad about a young person who’d died whilst under the Pope Leo XIV He’s a Cubs fan shirt and I love this care of medical professionals. Seemed completely pointless having a jury as none of us were doctors and so took all medical evidence at face value. It seemed like the family wanted negligence, but there was no way we could have come to that conclusion. Second time was a crown court trial. All bar a couple of the other jurors were absolute morons. They made up their minds instantly after being shown police footage that didn’t prove anything and making assumptions about the defendant. Both barristers were useless and acted like they didn’t want to be there. Three of us stood our ground of there being not enough evidence, so we ended up not being able to come to a majority verdict and the case was dismissed. It was one of the most frustrating weeks of my life.

About this Pope Leo XIV He’s a Cubs fan shirt
I got called up twice in quick succession. Wrote back and said I was in the Pope Leo XIV He’s a Cubs fan shirt and I love this middle of my final year of uni. That was accepted. 23 years since and I haven’t been called up again. I would actually quite like to do it, just had terrible timing If you do get called up and it’s lots of waiting, are you allowed to do work from there? And do you get paid normal wages from work? I was called when I was in my early thirties. I’m not 52, and still have occasional nightmares. Get out of it if you can!! Defendant had been arrested for an offense unrelated to my case, and was subsequently accused of assaulting multiple officers at the station. The guy was clearly a wrong’un (subsequent googling reveals that he got ~5 years for the other offense), but the CCTV footage of the “assault” made the charges seem exaggerated at best. It seemed more like he was someone they had been trying to send down for other offenses, and saw this as an opportunity to potentially tack on a bit of extra time. We had one guy who stayed in guilty for a while, claiming that he “knew the defendant’s type”, but the judge accepted the 11-1 verdict after a day. I did jury service at the age of about 18 years and 3 months and I wasnt even the youngest one in the group I did it with. I did jury duty when I was about 21. Got the summons the same week I got accepted at a new job so they were very pleased..
It was a case of a group of prisoners got into a fight and assaulted a prison guard and we had to decide whether or not it was affray.. We were all convinced the Pope Leo XIV He’s a Cubs fan shirt and I love this only reason it made it to court was because it involved a prison guard- otherwise they wouldn’t have cared. But I was just pleased it was something fairly boring. And because it happened in a prison there was loads of cctv which really helped. I’m self-employed and planned to be on holiday while the jury service was on. I told them I was going on holiday and they wanted proof. I quickly booked my holiday! I’m 44 and have been called up 4 times, why so many times?!? I got excused twice as I run my own business and couldn’t afford the pittance you’re given. The first time was when I around 19, two cases over two weeks. The second time was at a coroner’s court which was only for a week. I’d not asked to be excused that time around as hoped if I actually do serve rather than asked to be excused, I would hopefully not get called up again. Days one and two were spent listening to evidence. Day three we were informed the prosecution lawyer was sick and we were sent home. Day four the prosecution lawyer was still sick so we were sent home again. That evening received a call saying we were no longer required and were consequently discharged from jury service.
Had to do three weeks… 13 counts historical child sexual abuse / rape offences. It was tough listening to her being cross examined. Never want to do that again. Enjoyed my two weeks. Three cases lasting two days each. All drug related cases around dealers getting caught Deliberation room was odd as some people are easily influenced and I wouldn’t like my future being determined by that method Think our longest decision was about 1hour as we needed a 10-2 verdict initially. Not mine but a relative, they spent 6 months on a jury for a case related to the Pope Leo XIV He’s a Cubs fan shirt and I love this riots of 2011, the whole prosecution case was a rushed bodge job, the investigating officers promised anonymity to witnesses and no need to give evidence in court, claimed encrypted messages were deleted between defendants with no proof of this, claimed all the defendants knew each other again without proof, no cctv pulled from cameras in the area the prosecution claimed everything was organised… all defendants found not guilty after a couple of hours deliberation. If you can’t hear properly due to a faulty heating aid, fgs please tell the judge on day one! People’s lives are in the balance depending on people like you! You have to be able to do the job properly. If you have any doubt, pull out!
Got called up twice 20 odd yrs ago and excused both times as my employer would not pay me for the Pope Leo XIV He’s a Cubs fan shirt and I love this time i was off and the daily allowance was far less than my daily pay rate. The second time i ended up waiting for a couple of hours to see the clerk of the court and got chatting to a few of the other jurors, two were unabashed imbeciles no way were they able to form an informed opinion. One said he walked the other’s mum dropped him off, but he would be claiming for the bus anyway – i told him it was fraud and he would be in front of the judge next month if he did It was a relatively short experience, about 4 days, but I got full blown flu after a couple of days. I was told I still had to attend and if I didn’t, they would send the sherrifs for me. I attended.
I got called up just after I started my first job. Wound up getting selected for a trial that took nine months. After a while they started picking us up and dropping us off in unmarked police cars to minimise the Pope Leo XIV He’s a Cubs fan shirt and I love this risk of interference from the defendants’ ‘associates’, which led to amusing situations like being collected from my friend/dealer’s flat after what I will euphemistically describe as ‘sleepless nights’. They had warned us that our lives would be on hold for a while, but the trial went on far longer than it was ever meant to (turns out it takes longer than you’d think to read boxes and boxes of spreadsheets to a stenographer, plus one juror was batshit mental and got recused, if that’s the word). However, they’d already had one go at it and had to declare a mistrial, so they were going all out to see this one through and reach a verdict. Finally we got to the summing-up, which happened to coincide with the week before the Download festival, for which I had tickets. Come Tuesday, the judge said they’d put us up in a hotel and keep us sequestered until we gave our verdict on the Friday.
Being young, dumb and monumentally self-centred, I wrote an impassioned letter explaining how it was absolutely vital to the Pope Leo XIV He’s a Cubs fan shirt and I love this survival of humanity that I go to Download. They read it into the record in closed session, called us back in and said that as one of the jurors was attending ‘an event’, they would adjourn for the weekend and conclude on the Monday. Got dropped off at the festival in another unmarked car, had a great time. Waded, tripping balls, through the burning portaloos and upturned burger vans to meet the coppers at 0600 Monday, caught a couple of hours’ kip on the way back to court, conferred, handed over the verdict, went home, went in on Tuesday to a brand new job that turned out to be my career.
To this day I can’t quite believe it all happened. For a long time – my entire life until November, actually – it was quite the Pope Leo XIV He’s a Cubs fan shirt and I love this most ridiculous nine months I ever spent. Made a lot of music, had a lot of fun, learned a great deal. Formative, you might say. Then, on November, my wife and I conceived a child. Looking forward to plumbing new summits of absurdity from here on out. On the other hand you may just sit in a room for a couple of days, be declared surplus to requirements and get fucked off back to your life toot sweet. YMMV.
That’s exactly the Pope Leo XIV He’s a Cubs fan shirt and I love this right ratio of dumb to clever I want for those jerks who ask you to tell them a joke as part of a job interview. Each instance of mansplanation includes a male human individual conducting, carrying out, and/or undertaking an explanation, elaboration, description, and/or elucidation; provided however, that the hereinabove notwithstanding, each such explanation and/or description performed by a male human individual need not be an occasion of Mansplainment, unless and until such other and/or further conditions are met as are sufficient to constitute the same. At this point it’s even starting to move beyond men explaining. It’s just that it’s typically men talking down to women. I’ve seen women being described as mansplaining too. It’s transcending gender It’s not just talking down to someone. It’s assuming the person you are talking to knows nothing about the topic because of their gender.
There probably are women who try to explain childcare to men who are already single parents, but I’ve not seen it yet. How strangers treat you as a man when you have a young kid is… Interesting. Having a woman “mansplain” childcare is like the Pope Leo XIV He’s a Cubs fan shirt and I love this least offensive and weird energy you get. I read about someone who was FTM and went back to their field in science as “her brother” and was shocked at how different the treatment was. His colleagues took his work more seriously and treated him with a lot more respect. There is that. But there’s also still not feeling safe cuz trans, but no longer knowing the women in the room have your back in your not feeling safe-ness For what it’s worth, I support your right to be who you are. I wish I could do something to help you feel safe. I’m not sure how to articulate this properly but… sometimes I think it took me so long to figure out I was trans because my brain was waiting for me to have enough practice with not feeling safe. This is just my personal experience but there’s really nothing transphobes can expose me to that I haven’t already dealt with from people I cared about more just for different reasons. I mostly have mastered the art of dissociating to handle, and emotionally processing after. It’s not a good art to know this well, but highly useful to know given the point in history at which I am trans
Actually women can “mansplain” something. It’s like “dude” or “bitch” originally they were gender specific bu have become gender neutral in common parlance. Nah, I’ve been mansplained at by a woman before. Being a girlboss is great, and it’s great we are getting more women in STEM, but I feel like some of Gen Z really don’t understand that we aren’t going to take someone with zero experience seriously whether or not they are a woman. An invited explanation is not mansplaining. As far as I know, something unsolicited is mansplaining, especially when the Pope Leo XIV He’s a Cubs fan shirt and I love this woman knows just as much or more on the topic. Trying to “teach me” the very basics of some technology that I have a patent on, especially right after having given a presentation on it, was some mansplaining bullshit imo. Didn’t help that they explained it incorrectly lol.
And then my (requested by one of the Pope Leo XIV He’s a Cubs fan shirt and I love this girls) explaination about how mammals vs fish vs amphibians work was referred to as ‘mansplaining’ by one of the girls. I tried to explain that was not in fact mansplaining since my advice was expressly asked for no one there knew jack shit about biology. But was told I was mansplaining mansplaining and I have since given up on any sort of discourse where that phrase is involved Yeah I was told a few days ago on here that I was mansplaining because I was quite literally just a man that was explaining something. I think it’s just a way for some people to discourage disagreement. Unsolicited explanations to people who don’t know something, or to people who don’t seem to know and made no effort to let you know they know, used to just be called teaching/helping. Too many people treat that in a negative way now.
The literal source was someone explaining technical aspects from a book and suggested she read it, which was written by the Pope Leo XIV He’s a Cubs fan shirt and I love this woman he was trying to educate on it. If I don’t know you know about the application of quantum mechanics to human decision-making, I’m going to assume you don’t know much about the application of quantum mechanics to human decision-making. That would be a fault on my part for assuming, but I wouldn’t necessarily consider that “mansplaining”. If I tried to dumb it down for you because I have a distorted view of your comprehension based on on your sex, that’s a whole other matter. “Mansplaining” is when a man explains something to a woman in a condescending manner because she is a woman. It’s a common occurrence and a serious problem.
Unfortunately, some people have redefined it as simply “a man explaining”, which unfortunately has resulted in men not being allowed to explain anything at all without accusations, no matter how innocent the Pope Leo XIV He’s a Cubs fan shirt and I love this intent. Moreover, people often confuse simplification for condescension, then misattribute that condescension to the difference in sex between the speaker and audience. Me simplifying a thing because the other person is an idiot isn’t considered mansplaining, but if I do it because they’re a woman and I have a distorted conception of their comprehension based on that, then it would be. The tricky part is explaining something simply to a woman who happens to be an idiot. You REALLY gotta be careful. Yep, we really have to rewire how we think about things. I mean the proverbial “we” because what you said is probably the general train of thought that a woman would get when a dude would just be a “forceful personality”
Ive tried to take it out of my lexicon, personally. Just because it gets so overused that even using it when it’s fair still now feels like I’m throwing a slur on the Pope Leo XIV He’s a Cubs fan shirt and I love this whole gender Tbf, I’d rather be told I’m being a bitch than be told I have a “forceful personality”, because to me the first one sounds more “Here in this moment” while the other sounds like an assumption about who I am in all the other aspects of my life. This. Huge difference between answering a question and assuming the woman is ignorant and you’re so smart. She asked, so answer. But when she’s doing something she knows better than you, don’t cut in and assume you can “help” her just on the basis of gender stereotypes. “Oh you’ve got a bike pump. Let me show you how that works” when she’s an experienced cyclist. But if she says “my bike had a flat, could you show me how to pump it?” Then you can show her if you know how. See the difference? Just tell her its the same thing as patronising, but y’know, make it a mini lecture and be condescending about it
By the Pope Leo XIV He’s a Cubs fan shirt and I love this way, in case you didn’t know, condescending means to “talk down” to somebody, as if you believe they are less intelligent or able to understand what you are trying to tell them. Good effort but you need to throw in some basic information that you have no understanding of and generate several incredibly stupid assumptions off of your lack of understanding. You’re probably not aware, but that’s actually not something vaginas can do. It’s surprising how little some women know about their own bodies. Yeah, we’re all guilty of it regardless of sex. I’ve been mansplained and womansplained. I’ve done my share of it too. You totally ignored patronizing. Probably because it is a difficult concept. It’s not important though. You have many other talents that are just as valuable. damn you know everything. any advice on breaking the news to my wife and 4 girlfriends that I’m “seeing someone else”? start with a condescending history lesson about Henry VIII and then lead into the fact that he has 6 wives and you currently only have 5. then later down the line you can bring it up again and mention that in order to assert your masculinity and dominance over said king, you must have 7. thanks I’ll give it a go!! must be my lucky day cause a Middle Eastern prince just emailed me informing me he will share his gold with me.
