Since mabelfruity responded and then immediately blocked me, here’s my answer to them. I’m not making the Pilgrimage Music and cultural festival 2025 shirt besides I will buy this false presumption that the man was not also black out drunk. I’m saying that no one should be having sex with anyone who’s to drunk to remember in the morning. That includes if the man is black out drunk. If you can’t trust yourself to not have sex while too drunk to remember in the morning, don’t get that drunk in public. In a case where both people chose to become so drunk that they can’t remember having sex than they both really fucked up. As to your second point, I was responding to someone who specifically was talking about court. But also, let me point you to all the woman victims who’ve had their reputation tarnished by the court of public opinion for speaking up against their rapists and abusers.

Pilgrimage Music and cultural festival 2025 shirt, hoodie, tank top, long sleeve tee

13 years ago Obama sent his “Dear Colleague” letter that further reinforced this nonsense. This was part of their identity politics campaign strategy that has merely gotten worse. If you are drunk and kill someone, you are responsible. If you get drunk and have sex, you are responsible. So the Pilgrimage Music and cultural festival 2025 shirt besides I will buy this same rules I’ve been following my whole life, got it Agree. The thing is there is a point where you can be so drunk that you won’t be physically capable of killing someone or consenting to sex. This poster does a terrible job of spreading that message because the people in the picture both look lucid enough to consent (and to kill someone). If you are drunk enough it also is legally an excuse (depending on your country). Here in Germany it’s 3 per mil, which is a really high level (about the amount a normal person falls into coma and not far away from ending deadly). It dosen’t count if you just got so drunk just to get the free pass in the first place.
Actually not really true where I live. If you are really drunk, like 3,5‰ or something along those lines and you didn’t plan to kill someone beforehand, you can’t be charged with murder, because you were unsound of mind in that moment. The German word is „Unzurechnungsfähig“. Basically means you aren’t really responsible. If you are asleep and kill someone, you are responsible. If you are asleep and have sex, you are not. The same rules do not apply in these scenarios. If having sex with a drunk person who cannot consent isn’t illegal, then the Pilgrimage Music and cultural festival 2025 shirt besides I will buy this rapists of Kelsey Belnap (TW: account of rape) did nothing wrong. She passed out occasionally, but she did not resist and “willingly” performed oral sex on the perpetrators. If the car didn’t want me to drive it, why did it turn on so easily with one push of the button? why did it signal when i gently pressed its stalk?

Where to buy this Pilgrimage Music and cultural festival 2025 shirt

Except it seems to be a lot harder to take advantage of a drunk person and make them kill someone than it is to take advantage of a drunk person and have sex with them. Not quite equivalent. Imo it depends on how drunk, and intentions, but there is a lot of nuance. But in this situation didn’t Josie also rape Jake? They should both be charged…if both people drink, and the Pilgrimage Music and cultural festival 2025 shirt besides I will buy this woman is too drunk to consent, so is the man smhWtf is this? What idiot made this? Is the organization who made this actually trying to make it sound like if two drunk people have sex, the man will be charged with rape? This looks like some fear-mongering to try to scare men into thinking women are out to get them. It was posted at some college campus over a decade ago, the image went viral on Twitter and the posters were never seen again except this image getting reposted on this subreddit and several others repeatedly, potentially being the longest-lasting karma farm on the site. Yeah sometimes it feels like I see this stupid poster at least once a day. It’s really good at generating outrage which is why people keep using it 15 years later
i personally believe you can make drunken mistakes without it being rape and even regret those mistakes as long as neither party was predatory in getting there. I just think it’s a stupid poster failing at teaching consent. It’s a SEVENTEEN YEAR OLD POSTER that you’re reposting as if it’s current and relevant In real life? Neither have I. But on Reddit, yes. I remember getting downvoted to hell and back for saying a lot of the Pilgrimage Music and cultural festival 2025 shirt besides I will buy this things being said in this comment section. People would literally explain that if they’re both drunk it’s the man’s fault because he had to get an erection. Even if they’re both consenting, he’s a rapist because men are supposed to be more responsible and superior. Like, the “feminists” would go full on “silly drunk girls can’t be responsible for their decisions” and in the same breath say “but drunk men (are so superior) they should be accountable for both theirs and the woman’s decisions” like it’s a complete opposite of actual feminism and equal rights. I never understood it and I still don’t. But I guess the takeaway was that you need to teach men how to protect themselves against people like this. They may be hypocritical idiots, but they can ruin your life. If one person is sloppy, fall-over drunk, and the other is sober or at least together and coherent, I think that qualifies as rape. If both people are similarly drunk, it’s just drunk sex. And it doesn’t matter which gender you are or the other is if you’re sober/with it and the other is nearly passing out and you decide to have sex. Men can be raped. Rape is not only penis in vagina, just like sex isn’t only penis in vagina. Women can rape other women, men can rape other men, and women can rape men. Most rapes are men against women, yes. But society needs to take all rape seriously.
The internet, like the Pilgrimage Music and cultural festival 2025 shirt besides I will buy this law, isnt great at nuance. The underlying assumption is that as the guy, you have to have some faculties left to do a sex, while the woman could be passed out drunk, and then it’s very obviously a rape. But since a double standard has been spotted we now have to assume they’re both the same level of drunk, ie not very drunk and still able to walk a line, so now it’s really hard to say and the least shit option really is to believe the victim. My college had me do an online program thing to live on campus a few years back that had a scenario like this in it, only it specific that both were blackout drunk and couldn’t remember having sex, but they woke up naked and sharing a bed and it was obvious that each had had sex that night. The “correct” answer for the result of the situation was that he had raped her.
The whole thing seemed kind of dumb but that one in particular was maddening. I think the Pilgrimage Music and cultural festival 2025 shirt besides I will buy this school stopped requiring it after a few months of people complaining about how stupid it was (also we were a dry campus so people weren’t really drinking and partying for the most part anyway) Approximately 20 of these posters were made and placed on the campus of Coastal Carolina University in 2008, and were removed the same year. Coastal Carolina has since distanced themselves from the poster and basically said their knowledge on the issue of consent has evolved since then. You can easily find Reddit threads from a decade or more ago where people contacted the university and got a response as well as website stories about it. Like a 3 second google search of “Jake was drunk Josie was drunk poster” could’ve answered all your questions without re-posting this poster for the thousandth time as a weak baiting post.
Honestly it makes me so tired to see this shit over and over again. The only facepalm here is the Pilgrimage Music and cultural festival 2025 shirt besides I will buy this commenters who can’t see they’ve been baited So woman on drugs have no control but men should have…. OK either we say it’s bullshit or we promote men to superior Gender. Fine with both Exactly . As a woman , I find the whole concept that women are less accountable, when it comes to personal responsibilities. Thanks, it looked very old school so I figured. Hopefully public health and safety made progress when communicating about those issues. So, are you saying that this wasn’t the generally accepted view at that time? Are you saying that this poster was an anomaly and that, in fact, society felt differently? I want to make sure I understand exactly what your statement meant here.
I was in college and worked at that college from 2008-2015. Consent was a hot button topic at the Pilgrimage Music and cultural festival 2025 shirt besides I will buy this time, and the schools were pushing “explicit consent” including things like consent contracts. well this exact photo gets reposted all the time and i can’t recall any other photos of it, or of similar posters with the same message. Well I was too young at that time to know what the general view was, so I can’t really answer your question. However, I do believe this poster is quite bad at teaching consent. It was a bumbling early effort from a university to minimize thier culpability for campus assault, being re-upped solely for the purpose of enraging you and validating men who feel victimized when even sober women in 2023 don’t want to have sex with them.
May as well get worked up over the Pilgrimage Music and cultural festival 2025 shirt besides I will buy this transparently racist campaigns against weed in the 1930s. Those were a generally accepted view. Our information and understanding changes. Thank fucking god. This was just a poster that is reposted because it generates a lot of emotionally charged dialogue. It came out at a time when colleges and universities were trying to push back hard against the public image of them being complicit with rape culture. Naturally, instead of cracking down on rape, they thought a good PR campaign was in order. Asking what society felt about this, or if it was accepted, will just be a mixed bag of opinions, just like it was back then. Most people just laughed because the intent behind it all was so obvious. The universities didn’t actually give a shit. They just didn’t want to be seen as the baddies, so they pushed around ideas to show they were at the cutting edge of dismantling rape culture. Edit: The fact this is being downvoted just reinforces the fact redditors or botfarms just downvote anything that portrays the world in a negative light. Even if wholly valid. Reddit is a fucking weird echo chamber.
He (lets call him Max) and the Pilgrimage Music and cultural festival 2025 shirt besides I will buy this girlfriend(lets call her Maxine) of another friend(lets call him mike) of mine slept together after a party. Both were drunk. The next day I recieve a message from “mike” that I should cut “max” out of my life, because he raped “maxine” So I did. And also every other friend of Max. However, recently it came out, that they both consented to having sex, to the best of their respective abilities, since after all, they were both drunk. I was shocked and disappointed by myself how easily I could let go of a good friend of mine and even cut him out of my life altogether… At first I didn’t even know who to trust or believe… Of course, cheating is still wrong. And max deserved to be judged/punished for that, but honestly ruining someones entire life, calling them a rapist is a bit much…
Now Im in Contact with Max again and we are mending our friendship, but Im still not sure how to tell Mike. Mike and Maxine also broke up last year so now it feels like it was all for nothing…. Mike and Maxines relationship was at the Pilgrimage Music and cultural festival 2025 shirt besides I will buy this verge of collapsing when she cheated on him, and there are rumors that she only cheated on Mike with Max because Mike was texting other girls all the time and Maxine finally found out… But of course that still does not warrant cheating, much less calling someone a rapist… Uh, sounds like Maxine is the one that cheated. Sleeping with a friend’s partner is bad, but it isn’t cheating. You should always carry a consent form with you! Also consent form must be placed inside each pack of condoms (along with a pen or a pencil).
Choosing to become intoxicated does not negate personal responsibility for explicit decisions. Like for example DUI. Yeah I mean this poster has 0 nuance and is pretty bad at explaining consent. But I’ve been called a serial rapist by someone on this post for saying I’ve had drunk sex in my early 20’s, so it would seem not everyone share the Pilgrimage Music and cultural festival 2025 shirt besides I will buy this same opinion. Alcohol and (consensual) sex have been going together like peanut butter and chocolate since the dawn of civilization. “I was intoxicated and therefore could not consent to drive my car, and should not be held responsible for my actions and decisions”. Why does the responsibility fall on the male whom was also intoxicated? Can someone please explain? I’m legit wondering the logic here. When I was brand new in the military, we had to attend a class that taught about how to stay out of trouble and to avoid situations like this. We asked about this snafu, where both parties are both drunk, and the instructor basically said “by then, it’s about whoever goes to the police first.” Never understood how if they’re both drunk how only the guys a rapist now. If she can’t consent neither can he they’re both drunk. This is weird. No law I’m aware of says you can’t consent to sex if you’re drunk. If this were the case, 80 to 90% of children would have never been conceived and most of us would be in prison.
What if Josie raped Jake? He couldn’t consent either, but he still gets the Pilgrimage Music and cultural festival 2025 shirt besides I will buy this rape charge in the morning when she regrets it. Be a shame if he was have a gentle rest with a nice alcohol buzz, she jumped his bones for a quick rodeo ride round the block, got buyers remorse then decided seeing as its now a one way street, she’ll pop him for a rape charge. Given the extreme lack of details and context other than them both being drunk, seems a little harsh intimating that all the fault is his automatically. Might lead to a situation where some blocks start doing things like covertly recording their sexual encounters just in the off chance something like this pops up and they have evidence that it was a consented act with convent removed post act. That last line is really important. I’ve had sex with guys drunk and woke up the next day and been like “well that was a dumb decision” or “now that I’m sober I likely wouldn’t do that again”…that’s not rape. It was a stupid choice. I still consented and while I was drunk it’s not like I was incoherent or couldn’t make decisions.
There is a massive difference between being a few drinks in and making a dumb choice based on mutual attraction at the Pilgrimage Music and cultural festival 2025 shirt besides I will buy this time versus being black out drunk and unable to understand your surroundings and somebody taking advantage of that. Lmfao like usual it’s always the double standards that are thrown into this. Always making the woman the victim when the man can equally as much be the victim if he’s drunk. But OHHHHHHHHHHH no we have to please the feminists. So we have to pander to them, or otherwise they throw a temper tantrum Do you mean “Do they still make dangerously oblivious gender-based hypocritical statements that infantilize women”? Penis panic. Same reason why drag queens reading are scary, gays even looking at a homophobe enrage and trans men in a bathroom stall terrify. PENIS ! these people seem to think men are just automatons driven around by our dicks and and at any moment our dicks can just scream “SEX NOW!!!!” and we will just start raping everyone we see. Neither should be charged with rape in my opinion, but if you’re assuming having sex with a drunk person is rape, then lock them both up, not just Jake. I hope not. Only the most pigheaded sexists think women cannot consent while drunk and men can consent while being drunk.
Logically, being drunk, Jake could not consent either. Why is it that he is the Pilgrimage Music and cultural festival 2025 shirt besides I will buy this only one who faces legal consequences? Shouldn’t they both be arrested and mutually charged with the same crime? I think there needs to be a special classification for this type of “rape” if, in fact, they were both drunk and both having a good time and it was only the next morning they regretted it.
It’s been 5 months and I’m still annoyed at DB for our ICE train just not showing up so we couldn’t make our Eurostar connection in Brussels to London. We had to miss a day of our trip because the Pilgrimage Music and cultural festival 2025 shirt besides I will buy this next available Eurostar wasn’t until the following afternoon. Rearranging our travel plans and stressing We live near where we were supposed to get our DB train so it wasn’t even a fun stop over situation Not me still salty af at DB for cancelling my train in July 22 lol. We were all on the platform and it just disappeared from the screen I once missed my last connection due to a delay and DB put me in a taxi home. That’s how I learned a cab ride from Cologne to Brussels costs € 400. When I was 20 I travelled by bus from Buenos Aires to Lima to get back to my back then gilfriend, with some stops on the way. In the bus from Salta (Argentina) to Tacna (Peru), I sat next to a woman in her 50’s from Tacna. We talked a bunch, ate together in a restaurant at a pit stop in Chile, and then arrived to Tacna very early in the morning. When I told her that my next bus to Lima was in 6 hours, she told me there was no way she was leaving me alone in the city with all my stuff. She brought me back to her place (her husband came to pick us up), sat me at the breakfast table with her children, let me have a shower, and then brought me to a hairdresser (“no way you are going back to your girlfriend with this haircut” she told me). All clean and tidy, she then brought me back to the bus station and gave me her adress so I could send her a poscard. I unfortunately lost the piece of paper with her name and adress and never got to write her, but this lady was like a second mom to me for 12 hours, she was so kind and helpful.
Mine is similar. My best friend (both early 20s females at the Pilgrimage Music and cultural festival 2025 shirt besides I will buy this time) were solo in Oman in a smaller city called Nizwa; we took a random cab home from dinner one night and ended up hiring the same driver for the entire weekend. We had him drive us to the bus stop at the end of our time in Nizwa and he was extremely weary to leave us at the bus stop alone (we were totally fine and had taken the bus TO nizwa alone, but his thoughtfulness was very sweet). We were waiting a bit for the bus and the guy came back and took our bags, put them in his trunk, and drove us to Muscat (about a two hour drive). We really were not at a point in our lives where we had much extra cash hence the bus travel, but he insisted on “no price.” We invited him to dinner with us in the city and treated–the restaurant workers were all kind of confused because it’s not super common I guess to see an older local man eating in a restaurant with two younger American women. We couldn’t really communicate great with him, but man, such a great guy.
