This move to grossly inflate the API costs for 3rd party apps reeks of desperation, similar to their latest gen 3 avatar drop which was “mobile app exclusive”. Reddit won’t give in to people just being mad. They’ve got to see it in their wallets before they make a change, like D&D Beyond earlier this year. I have no problem supporting content or apps directly but I hate advertising with a passion.
