I use my phones till they absolutely get destroyed . Last one I had was Samsung S8. Just barely bought Google pixel 6 Been using the Notorious KBJ Shirt Furthermore, I will do this note 8 for 5 years. At the time I thought it was insane to buy a $930 phone. Turned out to be a good investment. Might get another 2 years out of it. You guys are replacing your phones faster than every 5 years? They already do last 5 years, it’s more that consumers don’t want to The only reason I bought Samsung A53 was it promised longer support. Tired of having to buy android phones every couple of years. My dad still rocks his razr v3. I tried to buy him a new one and he turned it down. Some people just know how to keep phones nowadays though. The industry push for 5G is simultaneously an attempt to force everyone to upgrade their devices, and also add the bi-directional location tracking and monitoring that ensures they can find anyone at any time, even when the device is “off” (ProTip: mobile devices are never truly “off” unless you can physically remove the battery, which is why you can’t anymore). Just got an update on my LG g7 thin Q, five years old and running fine, soon as the update hit the battery started dying in half a day and it crashed constantly, I’ll never buy LG Anything after this. 5 years sounds about right for me as minimum upgrade time. My pixel 3 is at 3.5 years right now and the only issue is the battery gets low at the end of the day sometimes. I don’t know how long I’ll keep it but I’ll be shocked if I upgrade before 2024.
