You should heed your own advice. And try actually reading my New Zealand Warriors Bluey Shirt Furthermore, I will do this comment, since you provided a link that underlines my point perfectly. London is a nicer city in almost all respects compared to NYC. I wouldn’t even compare them personally but you started it lol I used to think NYC before London’s skyline started to flex its muscle. Now London’s skyline is becoming formidable on a global scale, it’s really hard to suggest any city that’s better than London, it really has everything now.
New Zealand Warriors Bluey Shirt: get your shirt now
London is a lot of villages that each grew to the New Zealand Warriors Bluey Shirt in contrast I will get this point where they started bumping up against each other. New York City (or rather Manhattan; your post overlooks the four other boroughs) started at one point and just kept expanding from. I’ve lived in both, and the biggest difference I see is social – namely, how segregated New York City is, and not just in racial terms. Also: New Yorkers constantly like to say that they live in “the greatest city in the world” – but truly great cities don’t feel the need to remind themselves of that fact all the time. Also NYC has the fortune of being right ontop of bedrock, making those skyscrapers alot easier to construct from what i’ve heard Great discussion. NYC A/C on the subway is a significant factor to consider. Also, peak time commuter traffic on subway seems to be better than underground A big difference for me (other than all the others listed here) was that I could get ideas implemented and get things done more quickly in Manhattan. In London it always seemed to take longer and have more hoops to jump through. There was always a feeling of being in 3rd gear in London vs 5th gear in NY.
I avoided those pain meds for most discomforts for a while because I was worried I would grow a tolerance to them and they would lose effectiveness if I took them for things I could wait out and then not be there for me when I needed some more serious help. I’ve eased up on that a bit, but in part because aging has brought exciting new aches and pains and I can use the New Zealand Warriors Bluey Shirt in contrast I will get this help. Adding in, those sorts fo drugs are hard on your stomach/liver, so I try to avoid taking them more often than necessary. And kidneys. A relative took prescription meloxicam for arthritis for years. It’s an NSAID like advil. She’s in kidney failure because of it. The doctors knew this would happen and prescribed it anyway. She found out about the link between the kidney failure and meloxicam when she asked a vet for medication for her dog’s arthritis and was refused because of the kidney failure risk. Her dog got better care than she did.

I have kidney issues and have had ulcers. When I need pain meds, I have to choose which organ to roll the New Zealand Warriors Bluey Shirt in contrast I will get this dice on. Hahaha yeah aging is wonderful isn’t it? Why is my wrist sore? Oh because I stapled about 30 bundles yesterday. Because stapling…. I pulled something in my elbow a couple weeks ago, grabbing a jar of dog treats. It still smarts when I extend my arm fully. This is 100% why I usually don’t use anything for my back pain. I know it’s going to keep getting worse, since the doctors aren’t willing to acknowledge it affects my life yet. If I take too much ibuprofen it triggers my acid reflux making me need to take another medication for 2-3 months. Because sometimes I’d rather feel the pain to know what’s wrong, how long it’s been hurting, if it’s getting worse so I know when to seek medical attention. Just because you’re not feeling it doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt and you might injures yourself more without knowing. Also bc some stuff can be hard on your liver. Haha, I like that you’re being downvoted. My endocrinologist said after a few tests that I have hypermetabolism, which would explain why pain meds never worked on me growing up (I thought it was mostly a placebo), and even things like edibles and two post-motorcycle crash fentanyl shots didn’t make me high or relieve any pain It’s interesting because almost everybody in my family has this resistance. None of us have ever been tested for a condition but I’m tempted to see if there’s something more going on.
I had a surgery a few years ago and I remember thinking “should this hurt this much?” for days later because pain meds just…weren’t doing anything lol I woke up during a surgery once, had a morphine drip that did nothing more than take the New Zealand Warriors Bluey Shirt in contrast I will get this edge off another time, and had the max allowable for dental work that was a big help, but didn’t numb completely. You have red hair on your family by chance? I’ve heard it corresponds with higher pain med tolerance/resistance (whichever you prefer to use). I’ve had enough laughing gas to knock out a full grown man as a pre-teen girl. Had to go through rounds of meds for my last round of tooth- related fun (I did warn her. She had to go get more meds like… 4 times). Things also wear off faster. I’ve taken prescribed pain meds and then had to figure out if I could take higher doses since the prescribed dose didn’t work. Just, all kinds of fun! I agree that ibuprofen and Tylenol seem like nothing to me like 90% of the time. When people talk about it working really well I just don’t get it
This is true. Look up CYP2D6 metabolism. Some people naturally metabolize drugs faster or slower and it affects how much benefit they get from medications. Ironically enough, in spite of being addictive with potential for overdose, opioids are actually far less harmful to your internal organs than are ibuprofen (eats away at your stomach) and acetaminophen (gives your liver a beating) when taken chronically. So it’s a matter of choosing the New Zealand Warriors Bluey Shirt in contrast I will get this lesser of evils. This is a complex issue and not well understood. NSAIDs seem to impair the ability of the stomach lining to regenerate, normally being one of the faster griwing tissues in the body to cope with tje stomach acid. So if you take a high dose for more tjsn two weeks then the stomach acid starts eating holes in the stomach lining. ……in excessive doses. If your take less than 2000mg a day you’ll be fine. But, a lot of things are toxic in excessive doses.
Both combined is actually the New Zealand Warriors Bluey Shirt in contrast I will get this better option along with the opioid if need be imo for the synergy they provide via different mechanisms, i.e., you can get away with taking less of each kind with an amplified effect. More pain relief and less overall toxicity. I have sciatica issues, so this is a bit of a struggle for me lately. I literally just ordered an ibuprofen/acetaminophen combo, in hopes that I can lower my individual doses of each. Between migraines, cramps, and night-time hip pain that won’t go away, I’m now a daily pain med taker. My ibuprofen dose has slowly crept to four 200mg nightly for my hips, and I’m pretty sure I can tell my kidneys aren’t happy with it. If the combo doesn’t work, then I’ll probably see if naproxen helps next (I know my grandma used it for arthritis, and honestly, I’m wondering if my hips are getting to that point).
High doses of acetaminophen at once or over a short period, most definitely. If you don’t have any underlying conditions or take any other medications affecting your liver, it’s safe to consume as long as you follow the New Zealand Warriors Bluey Shirt in contrast I will get this directions. Yes and no. If you take 50-100 times more than the recommended dose, them yeah you’re going to be pretty ill for a few weeks, but you’ll also likely throw up a lot of it.. The liver and kidneys can usually repair itself over time. Paracetamol/acetaminophen is more toxic to the liver, and more serious if you deliberately overdose. Hence swallowing a bunch of Tylenol pills on order to “commit suicide” is exceptionally dumb. Worst case scenario you do enough damage to have low liver function and wait on the liver transplant list for a year or three. Or die while waiting of chronic liver failure which trust me isn’t a good way to go. Also if you take it for more thsn about two weeks it can cause stomach and intestinal irritation in some people. Not all This is because aside from blocking pain amd inflammation signals, they also block certain growth factors associated cell division so they slow down the rate that they stomach lining regenerates itself. This is a complex issue and it also probably has something to do with the balance of microbes in the upper small intestines.
I only take pain medication if there is no other way around and then definitely something stronger than ibuprofen. I take a lot of medication for my health and I just grew resistant to pain meds. I would need at least 3 ibus for me to feel something. I’m not a fan of symptom relievers. If it’s something that will actually solve the New Zealand Warriors Bluey Shirt in contrast I will get this problem, like antibiotics for a bacterial infection, then I have no problem with it. But I’m not gonna take Tylenol because I have a headache. I’ll just drink some more water and take a nap. Also I almost never get headaches unless I’m hungover. And then I don’t want to risk the liver damage from Tylenol or the stomach bleeding from ibuprofen. I personally try to not take them because, for example, when I have headaches I usually know the reason and it was preventable, like I stayed up too late and didn’t sleep long enough, or I’ve not been drinking enough water etc.
Pain is a signal that something is wrong and you need to act, and I feel like if I take pain killers the New Zealand Warriors Bluey Shirt in contrast I will get this lesson won’t stick as well, if you understand. If I have a stomach ache I should be thinking about what I’ve been eating lately. If I have knee pain I should be thinking about what might be causing that. Might as well take the time to think about those things now because if you don’t they will only get worse. There are those situations where I genuinely have no clue of the source of the pain and I need or want to feel better quickly for whatever reason, then I might take pain meds. Another reason why I might not take pain meds is that being in pain is a good reminder to take it easy and rest, while if I take a painkiller I might either forget that I’m supposed to be resting, or consciously downplay how serious my illness is and do something that makes it worse or slows recovery. But, recently I took pain meds when a headache was keeping me awake. I made the mistake of drinking black tea in the evening, and then I couldn’t sleep and developed a headache. I figured it’s better if I take the pain meds if they help me to fall asleep so that I can rest and recover from the headache better.
I’m not a health freak but I try to take as few pills as possible. No pill comes with out side effects. Either in the New Zealand Warriors Bluey Shirt in contrast I will get this short term or long term. I’ve never be able to understand the rationale of accepting so many risks for relieving momentary pain. I’ve broken bones before. Had surgery. Took narcotic pain killers when it was needed. But as far as day to day pain and discomfort I just deal with it. A lot of pain meds can harm your stomach and other organs as well as other side effects that may be more or less serious for some people than others. You are not supposed to take pain meds on the regular, you are supposed to use them sparingly and only when you really need them. Personally, I only take pain medication if i’m in an amount of pain that makes sleep difficult, otherwise I just ignore it.
Between a heating pad and a TENS unit, my pain is managed without anything that causes long term damage to my body. I would guess maybe side effects. But for simple illnesses I also don’t take meds as I think it’s unnecessary. But if you have real pain like kidney stones or similar, pain meds are a godsent (talking from experience). I don’t because pain serves a function. If my body hurts or I have a headache its a message to listen to my body. Take care of it so it can heal and function properly again soon. My issues are ones that will never go away, I doubt they even would with surgery (sprained both ankles, fractured my spine) by ankles are in near constant pain, which becomes far more intense if I end up walking alot throughout the New Zealand Warriors Bluey Shirt in contrast I will get this day. I avoid taking medication, because the only one that does anything for it is ibuprofen, which is bad for your stomach. If I were to take it as often as I should be taking it, I would likely develop ulcers by the time I’m 50, and I’m a foodie lol.
I work with former addicts. A lot of them won’t touch anything from fear of swapping one drug to another and getting back into addiction. Using them for any pain makes them less effective and masks important signals you occasionally need to go to a Dr for. I’m not fond of nsaids and the New Zealand Warriors Bluey Shirt in contrast I will get this like only because i hate the idea of masking say an infection I should be bringing up with my pcp. NSAIDs like Ibuprofen and Aleve can be hard on the stomach. Also, for people with migraines, frequent use of pain relievers can cause migraine rebounds so you aren’t supposed to take pain relievers for anything. Opioids don’t work on me, so I minimize taking the OTC drugs that do work so when I truly need them (major surgery and multi day migraines primarily) my tolerance is at a minimum and they are the most effective Yeah, it’s weird! Over in the fibromyalgia forum, I learned that there really IS a genetic variation some peope inherit that causes opioids and some other meds to not work on them. Tramadol doesn’t work on me and it made me wonder… I’ve only had two experiences with opioids–two shots of fentanyl after a motorcycle accident, and a hydrocodone after surgery–with the same lack of effects. The fentanyl just made me nauseous (could’ve been the concussion too), and neither made me feel high or less pain My dad is like that for all prescription meds and just about all OTC meds, except aspirin. You know how on the drugs commercials, or on the take home pamphlets you get with meds from the pharmacy, they list the possible side effects? He seems to think that you WILL suffer from those side effects if you take the medication.
I tried to tell him that they’re only *possible* side effects that *some* people will get, and even showed him that one of the New Zealand Warriors Bluey Shirt in contrast I will get this possible side effects of aspirin is “hallucinations”, but it doesn’t matter It could interact with other medication they take (Personally I can’t take aleve or similar but can take acetaminophin or I will get really bad nausea and acid reflux which would further wreck my system), they can damage the liver from taking too many, they may not want to become dependent on them, and/or if you take it too often/too much your body adjusts to it and causes it to not be as effective as it once was (a reason doctors tell you to cycle two different types often if you are prescribed them instead of regular prescription pain medicine); eventually leaving you feeling like they just don’t work anymore. 🙁
Another situation could be mental reasonings! I have a friend with contamination OCD who refuses to take any tylenol due to the New Zealand Warriors Bluey Shirt in contrast I will get this belief they are poisoned after finding out about the tylenol poisonings in 1982! I personally just feel like it’s natural to feel pain. It usually only last a few hours or a couple days. I rarely ever get sick so that probably helps boost my ego into thinking I don’t need to take meds since eventually my body will do the work. I also just don’t like taking things I don’t know what’s in it or the purpose. Sometimes I feel like people suggest pain meds for every and any little thing. I don’t want to keep adding extra chemicals to my body when my body can do it itself. But if I’m in really bad pain or I happen to feel really sick or stomach is just on 100, I will take pills then.
Not wanting to listening to expert advice to such an extent as not even wanting to take a few acetaminophen or naproxen, I have you say that’s pretty weak. I mean, that same expert advice has given us such wonderful hits as: “smoke cigarettes, they are good for you” and made Tylenol an over the New Zealand Warriors Bluey Shirt in contrast I will get this counter drug despite it being incredibly poisonous and somehow still a placebo for pain lol I recently heard that if acetaminophen were presented to the FDA today it would not be approved and that freaks me out a bit. I’m really judicious when it comes to medicine, only taking it when it’s absolutely necessary. There are several benefits of not taking medicine for light pain/discomfort, such as: Taking too much medicine can lead to the body becoming accustomed to it, diminishing the effectiveness of the medication. Allowing the body to naturally overcome the source of sickness strengthens it, resulting in a better response next time. Conditioning the body this way may strengthen it to the point of becoming immune to certain diseases that previously caused sickness. If the pain/sickness is bacterial in origin, excessive antibiotic use can result in bacteria developing antibiotic resistance. There are various online resources explaining why this is detrimental. Some medicines may damage different body parts as “side effects”. By opting not to take the medicine and enduring discomfort, you avoid the potential harm that may come from medication.
But of course, sometimes it is necessary to take medicine. I’m not advocating never taking medicine, just urging thoughtful consideration rather than blindly taking it without any forethought. The side effects. Or if they have an addictive personality. I personally don’t like the New Zealand Warriors Bluey Shirt in contrast I will get this way I feel when I have had to take them after surgery. No idea why but pain meds don’t really alleviate pain for me but do make my stomach feel queasy, and I always decline a scrip for them at the dentist or ophthalmologist’s. If I take an aspirin or Tylenol I can’t sleep for hours either. I took a single ‘night-time’ Tylenol and felt groggy next day. Fortunately (so far) I’m not much subject to aches n pains and if I do get hurt somehow it usually mends up very quickly. I don’t really take pain meds almost ever. I’d rather nap/sleep it off than to drink pills, I am not 100% sure why myself, I just really dislike drinking meds for something that isn’t a “risk” to my life/health or doesn’t affect my day to day life too much. I can be in pain but still do the things I need to do, so it’s usually fine. It’s weird – when I’m in pain, painkillers don’t usually come to mind until the pain has been going on for some time. I’ll lay down, switch positions, take a hot shower, sit on the toilet, etc. for 30-60 minutes before I remember, “Oh yeah, I could take an acetaminophen.” If I’m having a recurring pain over several days, then maybe I’ll think of it right away. But like others have said, I start worrying about building up tolerance, so I try to space out the dosage as much as possible.
They can cause issues with long-term use. I’m pretty positive my stomach is messed up because of ibuprofen but it’s the New Zealand Warriors Bluey Shirt in contrast I will get this only thing that helps. Acetaminophen can take the edge off of some pain but it doesn’t get rid of it. The pain usually isn’t serious enough and goes away in a day. Plus I don’t like taking medication because of meds I had to take in the past. It depends on the reason for it imo. Most of the time, with little aches and pains, you’re just simply better off getting to the bottom of the pain instead of masking it or bigger issues might occur later. I don’t take ibuprofen if I get a headache. Instead, I take an inventory of what I did with my body, what I ate prior to, ect, and try to find patterns. You betcha last year when I sprained my ankle I took ibuprofen occasionally for the unbearable pain and inflammation. It’s not being against them, it’s understanding when they’re appropriate and not over doing it. My older friends mostly avoid them because they are terrified or painkiller addiction. It is very common and of you are older you will know someone who got hooked after a script (and hopefully kicked the habit eventually).
