I don’t even like repeating my New York Knicks Stadium Essentials Men’s Number One shirt also I will do this own jokes and stories to a group if there is someone present who I have told before.

New York Knicks Stadium Essentials Men’s Number One shirt: Show Your Love with Style

While I don’t consider myself dumb, I don’t consider myself very smart either, definitely not to the New York Knicks Stadium Essentials Men’s Number One shirt also I will do this point I think I have an IQ of 115 or even higher. Took an IQ test a while back, 117. I’m not bragging, I’m not that bright, they aren’t an accurate measure of intelligence. Only thing my score meant to me was “goddamn, if I’m this stupid, I do not feel good about the average” The .pdf in question is a scan of a series of hand-written data collection forms that need to be entered into a kind of quirky excel template sheet. As in convert a word file to pdf? Is that really that difficult to do? So many free, online tools exist to do that for you. Online tools are there if, for w/e reason, you don’t have access to word. Point is that you can literally just google “word to pdf” and your problem is solved I do customer service for a company that sells on Amazon. You don’t need to be smart to just lose all faith in humanity with some of the astonishingly stupid and sometimes blatant scam artists you deal with on a daily basis. um…..not sure if you’re familiar with call service work, but the turn over in that industry is legendary lol. Yes, but the turnover isn’t sustainable if you only take 120 Iq candidates…. You’d basically cycle through 1% of the population and then fail miserably
No matter the New York Knicks Stadium Essentials Men’s Number One shirt also I will do this field, IQ tests primarily measure how good you are at taking IQ tests, not your actual intelligence and how well you learn and remember things. Someone can know everything on an IQ test but have significant test anxiety that negatively skews their score, and most workplaces don’t have test-like environments even in stressful, anxiety inducing situations. Someone can study for an IQ test and improve their score, which shows it’s clearly not about raw potential like many believe. But are we really drawing a line now at IQ tests specifically? We’ve had companies doing Myers Briggs personality tests for the past 20 years. They may as well just ask us our star sign. Yeah I had to take a test for a job I really wanted once. It had sections for IQ, personality and one with SAT type verbal and math questions on it. I was so nervous that I remember struggling with a word association question because I was second guessing myself about the words ‘vulpine’ and ‘lupine’. I know this and I know I know these. But anxiety can really fuck with you. Especially when you’re an adult, it’s been several years since you were in a testing environment, and the results actually matter in getting something you want.

More about this New York Knicks Stadium Essentials Men’s Number One shirt

IQ tests don’t really measure intelligence as much as some people would like to think. Like the New York Knicks Stadium Essentials Men’s Number One shirt also I will do this other commentor stated, it’s mostly testing one’s ability to take the test itself rather than testing their overall intelligence in any quantifiable way. Exactly. The test worked initially because no one was used to that kind of questions and it required actual intelligence to figure them out at the spot. Nowadays, its far more memory based as someone who remembers even one question will be leaps ahead of an equally intelligent person who scored one question less. But still with good IQ tests intelligents people have a good score usually, even if they didn’t train for IQ test before. So it’s not totally useless, just incomplete as evaluating someone. There’s not many fields where IQ tests would be helpful and even in the ones is, they are smart enough to know IQ tests are bogus 99% of the time
No it doesn’t. Iq tests are quackery, so even in fields where intelligence is required they are a bad metric to filter for I always test above 120 but I’m dyslexic and can’t spell basic words sometimes, I have a terrible memory for names, form numbers, emails, phone numbers, basically anything written and arbitrary. Relatable. I have a reasonably high IQ while also having several neurodivergencies/disabilities that make me the New York Knicks Stadium Essentials Men’s Number One shirt also I will do this slowest goddamn learner in the world with a random assortment of skills that other people can master in a day, dyscalculia being a high ranking one in these, and I also have a chronic mental health condition that gives me the memory capacity of a broken hard drive from the mid-90s. (There’s a lot of work I could be doing and doing well, though, it’s just that these jobs are not hiring per IQ and having a blank CV at 32 doesn’t exactly make me a great candidate.)
Honestly, an IQ based hiring process might help me if I actually maintained my old score (very high, but people don’t like when I say it). That being said, I also have ADHD, apparently high functioning autism, and my memory sucks most of the New York Knicks Stadium Essentials Men’s Number One shirt also I will do this time. After dealing with plenty of genuinely stupid people, i can certainly understand why people would agree with using any method that promises smarter coworkers. Whether or not IQ tests can deliver on that promise is dubious. It’s incredibly doubtful. My IQ well above 115, had to get it tested when they were putting me in the gifted classes in school, and I can promise that a work place full of mes would be chaotic with every task being procrastinated and no one wanting to stay one one project do people think that measures of intelligence are the sole requirement for getting a job with soft skills on the backburner?
115 is pretty high for the New York Knicks Stadium Essentials Men’s Number One shirt also I will do this average joe, I wonder what kind of job it is, maybe it is appropriate to set such tests in place, on the other hand IQ does not account for work ethics, responsibility and other things, for example I might have a high IQ specially compared to my race, but I am lazy af and get stressed/depressed easily I might be able to perform intellectually for a while until I shut off, meanwhile someone less intelligent might take a little more time to get used to tools or stuff but might also be much more stable and reliable, or at least that’s my experience. true, in any case depending on the job it could be very useful for the employer, although people with room temperature IQ might get the short end of the stick if this become a standard for employers even for “low skilled” jobs which I recon any job can require a baseline of intelligence.
You could argue that it indicates one type of highly imprecise and learned intelligence, namely the New York Knicks Stadium Essentials Men’s Number One shirt also I will do this ability to do IQ tests. However, it certainly doesn’t do what it was supposed to do. Honestly, modern psychometrics are so complex and come with so many caveats that it’s basically not worth the time of anyone who isn’t a psychology postgrad. They need to invent an IQ test for unlearned knowledge, like the ability to recognize patterns or intuit answers based on incomplete data. They have those. Progressive matrices, for one. Of course, that still only measures one aspect of intellect, and it could be argued that any test, however apparently culture or knowledge free, depends somewhat on experience.
I’m a high IQ person. I scored 99th percentile on all the New York Knicks Stadium Essentials Men’s Number One shirt also I will do this standardized tests, and I had a virtually perfect score on my SAT. There are a lot of Chris Langdons out there. None of us are gonna change the world. We’re just smart humans who wanna fuck off and so our own thing. Second this. Worked doing maintenance and enjoyed the ability to troubleshoot as when you get it right, it’s rewarding. Went into management, although manglement is a more appropriate name for it, and realized that high IQ’s were not a requirement. Hence my reply above about management IQ requirement. It indicates some amount of intelligence or at least maybe it does only at the far ends of the spectrum. I did some reading awhile back into why the US military requires a certain IQ and I read that the military did studies and found that people with an IQ below a certain level literally died more often in combat or would get injured or make mistakes more often and end up costing the military more money than they were worth.
Its just as bad as companies still using the New York Knicks Stadium Essentials Men’s Number One shirt also I will do this Myers Briggs tests. Anyone who has taken an intro psyc class in the past 30 years knows they are total garbage, but people keep using them for some god-forsaken reason. The tests are demonstrated to be racially biased, which can form the basis for a discrimination lawsuit. Me: lawyer who discussed this exact issue with HR last week. What like the tests that ask you to complete the logic series or to find the mistake in a picture or to memorise numbers ? How is that related to ethnicity lol, are you sure you are not mixing racial bias with social background bias ? Griggs v. Duke Power Company, 1971. US Supreme Court found that a particular use of IQ tests in hiring practices caused a disproportionate impact on African American employees. “Disproportionate impact” can make a facially neutral policy illegal under various US civil rights laws.
I am not sure I understand the New York Knicks Stadium Essentials Men’s Number One shirt also I will do this logic behind this ruling then. Following this reasoning, wouldn’t any skill test have the same issue ? I mean, sure, IQ tests would filter people with lower education, so disproportionately poorer comunities, but that’s a racial bias in the same way firefighter’s entry tests are gender biased. The intent of the test is to filter on specific criteras, and it’s doing just that. If someone want to complain about the results, then it would make sense to fix education and wage disparity, not to put underperforming people in potentially dangerous roles. This is the same reason that black Americans get preferential college enrollment with lower test scores, because they tend to score worse.
The problem is that we are re-enforcing underachieving in that community and also placing people who will not succeed in college/work positions. Unfortunately, these policies intended to help black Americans actually just hurt them in a different way with the New York Knicks Stadium Essentials Men’s Number One shirt also I will do this side effect of hurting other people as well. Iirc it’s been a while since I looked closely at IQ tests the way they were designed favours a very specific set of learning with no cultural considerations and so both social background and access to education effect it ethnicity would similarly effect it, not to mention the broad gesture you could make towards social background and race being heavily linked. You might be thinking of those tests that were used to prevent peoples of color from voting. Those were not IQ tests. Those tests are supposed to test your ability to solve problems, memorise data and extrapolate on it. If that’s what you require in the job you want to fill, then I don’t see an issue with filtering on those criteras. By your logic, heavy load jobs are biased against physically disabled peoples, modeling and showbiz jobs are biased against uncharismatics people and military tests are biased against immigrants. Ideally. But it can be hard to judge their competency at that exact work if they’ve never done that exact work before. What are the odds you only interview people who have loads of experience in “job title in this field, using this technology, in this industry, in the specific way we need it done”? And if you do find those people, you never have a full picture of their competency since they’ve not worked for you before.
I can probably pass through that filter, and let me tell you. I procrastinate everything. I am completely unmotivated in every work place environment. I give two shits about the New York Knicks Stadium Essentials Men’s Number One shirt also I will do this team or the work “family”. If I do become interested in something, it’s something no one else cares about. Then by the time someone does get interested, I’ve moved on to something else long ago. I mean, if the job definitely requires a higher IQ to perform the job at a high level of competency, I’m all for it. Something like a researcher, hardcore medical work (e.g. surgeons or neurologists) and so on. Surgeons an neurologists have gone through V vastly more rigorous and relevant training and standardized testing than an IQ test would ever hope to provide… if the IQ test did in fact eliminate candidates from a pool of licensed surgeons that would only further prove how stupid this idea is and be another data point on the list of reasons IQ tests are useless at worst and dubious at best IQ tests are one of the stupidest ways you could measure someone’s intelligence and are only really useful if you’re hiring for an administrator role that doesn’t require specific training.
Even then, you’d probably be better off with a basic computer literacy test ( you’d be surprised how many people are out there who still don’t know basic keyboard shortcuts.) 115 is a bit of a high bar, but as a former manager, I wholeheartedly agree with IQ tests for employment. It would have saved me a lot of problems and one former employee would probably still have all his fingers (he lost a battle of wits with a door). Which test would you go with? There’s a ton of them out there, and you’ll get a different score on all of them. I’m a teacher. My smartest kids are very often my New York Knicks Stadium Essentials Men’s Number One shirt also I will do this most unmotivated and lazy. If I was in charge of hiring for a company there is a variety of metrics I’d look for besides sheer intelligence.
I do not agree. Having a high capacity, does not guarantee one the New York Knicks Stadium Essentials Men’s Number One shirt also I will do this ability to use it effectively. I would much rather have a less ‘traditionally intelligent’ person, who was very emotionally adept, or maybe someone who very clever, rather than intelligent As an engineer who works primarily with other engineers, hard pass on the emotionally adept but unintelligent colleague. In fairness, an engineer doesn’t need a god damn drop of empathy to be a good engineer. Usually, the meaner they are the better the work comes out. In no small part, they tend to get meaner because they get tired of idiots second guessing their shit, wrong, and having to explain it to someone that should know better by now. If you wanted to get really crazy, you could effectively get rid of university and just use IQ scores to have people start working in organizations and companies.
My results somewhere in middle school were very humble but after university they are 110+ depending on test and other factors. Also test is very inaccurate and if you actually train for it you can get crazy good at it. I prefer the New York Knicks Stadium Essentials Men’s Number One shirt also I will do this ” I start my own company and compete against you ” test in the application process. That one is really fun to take. I’m reading a book that talks a bit about theories that humans actually possess many intelligences that can be measured, and the cognitive intelligence measured by IQ tests is only one of them. And while there is a small relationship between them (likely attributable on some level to things like SEC) they’re mostly entirely distinct. A person could have a high cognitive IQ and a terrible social IQ. Or a great social IQ and a subpar emotional IQ. And none of these IQs are better or worse – simply guided towards different kinds of work and expression. It’s a shame psychology kind of went “Eh can’t measure those” and have not really even tried. So instead we have an IQ test that’s barely been updated in a century and personality tests which aren’t super valid no matter how much researchers try to make it valid.
This is actually against the New York Knicks Stadium Essentials Men’s Number One shirt also I will do this ADA. You can’t discriminate against the mentally disabled who likely could never pass such a test. It’s funny because less than half of people score 115 or above. You know that most likely some of the people who chose yes wouldn’t even get above 100 Mine was 98th percentile and I cannot tolerate an office environment and sitting in a cubicle makes me feel like I will lose my mind. I would literally rather dig a hole or sell beans on the street than be a trapped rat in sickly lighting with petty dictators torturing me with their nonsense. Everyone I know with ultra high iq cannot deal with people or society and have mental issues. If you want a well run office you need it filled with ambitious but compliant MID Yeah this seems like this would depend heavily on what the job is. I used to manage front of house customer service for a small data entry type company. Low skill low pay jobs. The kind of stuff you pay high school graduates to do for a year or two while they go to college, build their resumes, and then (hopefully) they quit and go do actual work somewhere. Took literally a week tops to get people fully trained…and most people were good after a couple calls. Really REALLY easy stuff.
Last thing I would want is a bunch of 170 IQ world beaters walking around trying to reinvite the New York Knicks Stadium Essentials Men’s Number One shirt also I will do this wheel every 30 seconds. Pick up the phone when it rings, follow the script, enter the words into the word fields, drink your coffee and go home at 5. If you could just manage to get a decent number of calls done and not be a major nuisance to me…I’d give you a raise around every 6 months since turnover was insane and you likely wouldn’t be there in a year anyways. It’s the same logic as the Meyers Briggs nonsense where every company wants “friendly extroverts”….right until they realize that every person is A) spending 90% of the day socializing and B) you don’t have any grumpy a**holes around to tell people no when their ideas are idiotic and are going to cost you a bunch of money.
