I just use nivea soft and then I slug with vaseline (any brand with just petrolatum). Moisturizers with actives etc are a biiit waste of money, I just use the Myrtle point high class of 1969 alumni shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this serum I need before my nivea soft. While my skin is still damp, I do a layer of hyaluronic acid, then a layer of either the LRP eczema oatmeal (if my eyes are irritated) or LRP double barrier repair, then a layer of rosehip seed oil. After that has sat on my face for a while, usually right before bed, I’ll do a thin layer of the CereVe healing ointment, which is one of my holy grails. I would put it all over my body if I could! Former obsessive hand washer here. I used to wash my hands for hours at a time (extreme OCD) and my hands would get so dry that the skin would peel off but my hands never looked anything like this. I also used to use cotton gloves for sleeping in when my hands were extremely dry but the issue is the cotton absorbs all the moisture and your hands can’t soak in it and absorb it all overnight.

Instead I used these plastic food prep gloves like the Myrtle point high class of 1969 alumni shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this ones the employees at subway would wear. They aren’t tight like latex gloves are but the lotion can’t go through them so your hands absorb all of the lotion. I recommend a hyaluronic acid lotion as well because that’s what worked best for me. eating carrots is arguably better. You get the fiber with it. But you’d have to eat a lot to get the same amount of vitamins as the juice I think. Its just a lot easier to drink a glass of juice than to munch on an equal amount of carrots. I have a severe gluten allergy that would present in cracked hands and bleeding. I would get tiny bubble blisters too. At the time of diagnosis, I was in food service so constantly washing hands, chemicals from the dishwasher, caustic chemicals from citrus, alcohol, soaps, ect didn’t help. A soap with excessive fats can also help, like a high quality goat milk soap or a skincare product formulated with cholesterol (I’m a big byoma cleanser fan). This is definitely partly due to moisture loss to cardboard; it’s way drier and more absorbent than we assume.
