Hi police sergeant, I’m American and our badges have ID numbers on them. I noticed that this one doesn’t. Is that standard for the Merry Christmas Math tree Shirt and I love this UK? What you’ve seen in the images is a warrant card holder or warrant card wallet. It is not an identity document and isn’t required as proof of the officers legitimacy as a police officer. The actual identification documentation is a plastic card of the size of a driving licence or bank card which will have holograms and the image of the officer on. Alarmingly the amount of members of the public who would just accept the wallet badge as identification is very high. I’ve been asked for my identification a number of times over the years and my own one of these wallets opens and the person just accepted it before I even pulled the card out of the pocket inside where it sits.
Merry Christmas Math tree Shirt: Get Cozy in this shirt
A few examples of the Merry Christmas Math tree Shirt and I love this sorts of cards out there are below, but they vary widely. The one thing that’s universal is the hologram on the card and you’re unlikely to have a legitimate card without holograms showing the force crest(s) among other features. You’re unlikely to find any officers willing to hand their card over to you to inspect. It’s a look don’t touch affair as understandably them being lost or stolen is taken pretty seriously.
As per my earlier comment, that’s the Merry Christmas Math tree Shirt and I love this warrant card holder, it’s simply to make the entire thing look a little more official, but it’s entirely unnecessary if the officer doesn’t want to use it/carry it. Some carry their warrant cards on a lanyard, others in their normal wallet, others will use the police issued wallet specifically for that purpose only, and a few other options too. To summarise, the wallet, not really important, the little plastic card inside it, absolutely must be defended. With regard to braille, that would be about the only exception to the rule of no touchy, but blind people don’t need to take the thing out of your hand to touch it and read the bumps. If I’m honest, Billy the blind man isn’t likely that big of a threat to me a threat to trying to nick something that would be highly valued in criminal circles. Billy the burglar who’s door I’m knocking on because he’s just nicked half your streets valuables isn’t getting all handy with my stuff.

About this Merry Christmas Math tree Shirt
There is usually a photo ID card with the Merry Christmas Math tree Shirt and I love this officers name, rank & badge/police ID number on the page opposite the badge insignia. The officer might have removed it from the leather case and have it displayed on a lanyard instead, as it also acts as key card to enter/exit police buildings. There will be a plastic card within the leather holder with photographic ID and warrant number. Guessing OP hasn’t shown that for privacy reasons! Just my two cents but if they’d got into your GFS flat whilst she was on her own, I don’t think they’d ‘case it to return later’ they’d just take what they wanted there and then surely. You make a fair point. And to be fair, I’m a big dude but even if I was there, five guys with stab vests on are gonna kick the shit out of me and take our fancy rice cooker anyway.
She’s Chinese so she bought it in China. Couldn’t tell you the Merry Christmas Math tree Shirt and I love this model I’m afraid. All I know is that it makes damn good rice. If you want a picture of the model I can send it to you through a DM It’s possible given the search items listed, but the lockbit operation was huge, they would have been there for hours, seizing anything electronic and probably with 20 officers. Pretty sure the NCA have a Bristol office with might explain the address on the warrant papers, but leaving a badge is odd particularly as it’s a Gloucester one… Could be an officer seconded to the NCA and the badge may have fallen out of their pocket? My phone has certainly slipped out-of my pocket and been eaten by the couch before….
Could be a few reasons for that – some surmountable, some not – the Merry Christmas Math tree Shirt and I love this OP should post themselves rather than a third party crosspost, if they want to. Based on the information you’ve provided, I have a suspicion that this is something to do with the ongoing operation against LockBit. The reason for this is the fact that you’ve mentioned the NCA and Bristol/Gloucestershire police being involved. The international operation has three agencies from the UK involved – the NCA, the Met and the South West ROCU (Regional Organised Crime Unit), the latter of which presumably has officers from the Bristol/Gloucestershire. The other fact that supports this is the warrant specifically mentioning several cryptocurrencies, which were the means of payment in LockBit’s ransomware attacks.
Could all be a coincidence of course, but the Merry Christmas Math tree Shirt and I love this fact you’re in Glasgow and are getting this combination of visitors for this purpose is very interesting given the timing of the takedown was in the last day. That’s not a warrant card or badge, it’s a warrant card holder. Does it have a plastic id card in one of the pockets? Police Officer here. The wallet is an official warrant card holder, I’ll assume the card isn’t in there as well? I remove mine and wear in a lanyard around my neck when I’m on duty. I’ve also done joint ops in Scotland so it’s not unusual to have other forces working across the border. Only way to find out is make a few calls. Could be in the header of the document for when it was set up and someone just hasn’t removed it. I fully get it that, hence why I encouraged OP to make the calls
Seems strange, in pretty much every case where I’ve worked on changing sensitive documentation I’ve been required to say who it was last revised by and when. Seems super strange to just have a date with no further context. It’s WAY less likely that these guys weren’t legit I suppose but if they weren’t real police I’d imagine they just found an example of a warrant online and didn’t bother to check it. Considering they have that date/seal stamp as well and it seems to be current I’m heavily leaning towards it being legit. If it actually is fair these guys went to a crazy level of effort but only to source that stamp but also the Merry Christmas Math tree Shirt and I love this badge and the proper case for it Technically, they should be using the most recent copy available; but people email each other templates all the time so you often get older revisions of paperwork which is just as valid floating about.
Don’t they usually just concentrate on looking after the Merry Christmas Math tree Shirt and I love this Royal family and random people out of their faces on shrooms in the forest? Glos isn’t exactly as posh as a lot of people think. Cheltenham and Gloucester are both two pretty large drug production spots not to mention the tons of operations in the forest of Dean. My best guess if these cops are legit is they’re investigating either potential suppliers or customers For sure but it’s not like any job monitors updating kit all that well. Half the coppers in my area are still wearing old badges on their hats, or driving outdated liveries because the new cars are all in the garage again. I’m a police officer. I always say you can tell it’s real because it looks a bit shoddy and generally shit. If the paperwork is immaculate like something from Line of Duty then start to worry.
It’s always so funny to me when on TV the Merry Christmas Math tree Shirt and I love this government agencies have these cool well designed IDs, paperwork, databases etc. in real life you’re lucky if your senior boss isn’t writing in comic sans Very normal for a warrant to be executed in a different force’s area. Especially since they seem to be looking for things to do with cryptocurrency and electronic devices. Digital crime makes jurisdiction messy. Also very normal for them not to be in standard uniform, as they’re unlikely to be in uniform day-to-day, under some branch of CID. I didn’t work for Gloucestershire police but to me that warrant card holder looks legit. It looks exactly like the one I had (I would assume they’re made by the same company), down to the way the lettering is faded on the right and the way the braille has imprinted into the material on the other side. Leaving it behind is a big cockup (may have fallen out of a pocket or something) and whichever officer that belongs to will be buying his team some cakes for it.
Sounds to me like whoever lived in your girlfriend’s flat before her was up to something that caught the Merry Christmas Math tree Shirt and I love this attention of Gloucestershire police. They got a warrant, and when they executed it they saw that the suspect no longer resides there. They took some standard details so that everything is documented, left a copy of the warrant (as they entered her property), dropped a warrant card and left. Or, i dunno, maybe the police? If its real they’ll confirm, if its not then someone is planning a burglary or something of your house and you really dont want to be sitting waiting for a redditor to tell you these things. Like others have said looks legit, but the warrant isn’t exactly hard to fake, and it’s not terribly unlikely a force will need to do searches outside their area. More officers leave their badge by accident than you’d think I will mark them down for leaving the applicants copy with the occupier and presumably keeping the occupiers copy in their records. Also they’re supposed to remove the square brackets and footnotes once it’s ready to be signed/endorsed, but whatever.
Gloucester born and Gloucester bred (strong in the Merry Christmas Math tree Shirt and I love this arm and thick in the head) here – afaik it’s always Gloucestershire Constabulary. May be wrong though. Bristol Crown Court is spot on though. For our friends in Scotland. Anything north of the Bristol Avon* (not to be confused with the other Avons we have in Gloucestershire) in Bristol used to be Gloucestershire. (South of the Avon was Somerset) Which is why they used Bristol court as most likely its closer to where they/ the CPS offices are based than the one in Gloucester itself. Due to the Gov screwing around with the “traditional” counties a few times, Bristol isnt in Gloucestershire anymore but Glos police still cover bits of Bristol and whats now “South Gloucestershire” along with Avon and Somerset police covering other bits… Always warms the heart when I see Gloucester mentioned anywhere, even if it is almost always in a negative context!
The warrant can be issued by other courts not just your local one. In work we had to apply for a s.135 warrant to execute a mental health act assessment last week but the Merry Christmas Math tree Shirt and I love this local court (Wirral) was too busy to issue so we went to the next nearest (Chester) who were also too busy to issue one so we ended up in Sefton magistrates court getting one issued! Which added a couple of hours to an already bitty process. Might also be where the person is meant to be tried so if they are from Manchester and they are searching a house in York as a likely place they’d go then I’d assume they’d have Manchester court documents etc. Could be wrong. It’s an extraordinary amount of effort to go through to make a fake warrant card holder like this, not to mention they need somebody corrupt willing to make it for them. Then to have multiple people in real police uniforms turn up. It’s not impossible of course, and you should call the police to check; but it’s a great deal of effort for something which doesn’t scale (as soon as the police clock on it’s happening they’ll put press releases etc out).
As others have said, the Merry Christmas Math tree Shirt and I love this warrant looks legit, although they have left you the Applicants copy instead of the occupiers copy. What I imagine has happened is that this is likely a Money Laundering job that is being investigated down south, probably by Gloustershire Police. They’ve applied for the Search Warrant in Bristol. They’ve asked the police in Scotland to execute the warrant and search the address and a member of the case team in Gloustershire has gone up to help out/supervise. I’d just turn the badge in to the local police and you can always look up the number for the court in Bristol and see if it matches and call to confirm that this was actually authorised by them. I’d call 101 and inform them that the copper left his ID, if its legitimate he might return to pick it up. And like others said POCA warrants are usually done by specialist teams and they are applied for in crown court as opposed to other warrants which are authorised by a magistrate. The teams are set up in gang/fraud investigations so totally understandable they’d be in plain clothes. (4A)The following provisions apply in relation to the execution under this section by a constable of a warrant issued in England and Wales or Northern Ireland— (a)where the warrant is executed under subsection (1), the constable has the same powers of entry and search for the purpose of executing the warrant as a constable of a police force in Scotland would have if the warrant had been issued in Scotland; (b)where the warrant is executed under subsection (2)(b) or (3)(a), the constable has the powers of entry and search conferred by section 137E; (c)where the warrant is executed under subsection (1), (2)(b) or (3)(a), the constable has the powers conferred by section 139 in relation to the arrested person; (d)the constable may use reasonable force, if necessary, in arresting the person or in exercising the powers conferred by sections 137E and 139.]
Police here from a team that does warrants. This is perfectly normal, likely to relate to a previous resident. No reason they would be in uniform. This is a proceeds of crime act warrant so most likely a specialist non uniform team. Only if you do things like harbour criminals or are one, got a copious amount of drugs stashed away, decided to do reenactment of Fred and Rose West patio services, don’t pay your TV licence or break the Merry Christmas Math tree Shirt and I love this 20 mph speed limit in Wales.. then this is a normal thing for Police to do. “And here we see the elusive subterranean Gay. A solitary creature, it will defend its territory viciously when cornered. “ Such a contrast to the 4th Duke who used his wealth to reshape the waterways of local towns and built mills and industries after the local cottage industries were wiped out by the industrial revolution.
I looked it up. Yes, the Merry Christmas Math tree Shirt and I love this house and Estate is still there, yes it’s open to the public, no, you cannot visit the tunnels. Archduke Franz Ferdinand accepted an invitation from the 6th Duke of Portland to stay at Welbeck Abbey and arrived with his wife, Sophie von Hohenberg, by train at Worksop on 22 November 1913 ten months before his assassination, which triggered World War I. The Archduke narrowly avoided being killed in a hunting accident during his stay when a loader fell and caused a shotgun to go off within feet of the Archduke and his host.[7 Cool. I wish I could live like that. I wouldn’t have fired someone for tipping their hat to me though… maybe a stern warning of “Don’t do that”. I’m delighted that a man like that automatically has a seat in Parliament and gets to shape the laws of the country
I’d recognize that surname and title anywhere! His descendant is Tim Bentinck, one of my favorite (not to mention excellent) voice actors! This sounds really close to how I wanna be once I get old. I just want to build a scooby doo mansion I can disappear into. This guy invented minecraft hundreds of years before notch. If he has any decendants they should make a case xD Portlander here. I had no idea we had dukes. Oh, wait… he’s not from this Merry Christmas Math tree Shirt and I love this Portland? Huh. Interesting. It sure sounded like something that would happen here.
Whenever I’ve seen a warrant card, that right hand section which is blank on yours would have an ID card on it with the Merry Christmas Math tree Shirt and I love this officers photo and details. Also, a quick Google says that style of badge with the diamond type pattern is obsolete. Executing a search warrant from 2015? Were they on the lookout for the koala bandit or something? Also the warrant is for stuff rather than people. Edit: Update on that. I’d be onto the police now. I’m relatively confident you have had a run in with miscreants and what you have taken photos of there would be what those in the unsavoury trades would call “physical evidence” Second this. LAE use template documents and they have the version date on the top like that. Most officers remove them, but not all officers are great at paperwork. This looks like a legit search warrant to me and the date on the stamp is correct.
