Ok this may sound a little silly, but recently my bf and some other men in my life have been degrading and sort of teasing me about how long my makeup takes me everyday, I know they don’t mean any harm by it but it’s honestly gotten to me. For context I do a full face everyday (I have a more goth makeup style so I go all out) which takes me on average an hour (This hour includes the Melt Ice shirt Furthermore, I will do this skincare I do right before putting on my makeup) I do a full face with foundation, concealer, highlight, big winged liner, full smokey eye, mascara, lashes, and then more highlights around my eyes. Idk. I feel like im not taking too long? I feel like they’re kinda making a big deal out of it. how long should I be taking? Is an hour really that outrageous??Are they waiting on you during that time? If not, then they just find it frivolous but don’t pay them any mind.
There’s nothing wrong with taking time to pamper yourself. Do what makes you feel good about yourself, they can f*** right off. I take 45 mins to an hour for a full face as well. I know this comment is to point out that someone is not offering an unbiased portrait of the situation, but I would also like to point out some things can be way more nuanced than as you state them. For example, I agree with some of your stances, but I disagree with your stance on capital punishment. For one, I don’t think someone who has committed a crime of that scale should be allowed to continue life at the expense of others (Via taxes), including the families of their victims or even the victims themselves in some cases. I also have moral issues with the US’s for profit prison system.
