In a similar scenario I was begged to do nothing, I did nothing. It happened multiple times again and again begged to do nothing. It legitimately eats at me not to do any thing. Happens again I’m doing something. My recommendation, get the voicemail, call a private meeting with you, him and his manager or boss. In the meeting play the voicemail. Allow it to unravel from there. Depending on how much you want to keep that job, and your wifes comfort level, maybe get her to call back (speaker phone, you record), when he tries to set up a time, she can say something like ‘gotta check with YOUR NAME to see when he’s available for us to meet you’. Play dumb, make it seem like she thinks he’s talking about a set up with both of you. He may back off. If not, she may just need to say that she’s not comfotable meeting with her husbands boss without you there, but shes happy to discuss heathly eating habits in a group setting (if she is). If she’s not comfortable, just block his number and ignore. Pretend it didnt happen. If the number is blocked, she shouldnt get any more contact. If she comes to work xmas parties stick together so he cant try to speak to her privately, or dont bring her.

I wonder if this could fall under some form of harassment that =hostile work environment. There’s nobody you can file with directly to the company, but if he persists with your wife while you’re trying to find another job, you could always file a lawsuit. I’m sure a lawyer and a judge could figure out some law/regulations he broke to make it stick Sorry, my last comment was insensitive. Front him and see what he has to say. What did your boss think was going to happen? Let your wife go out to lunch, have her be on high alert to shut down any advances, maybe if she can do that it’ll all blow over and you don’t need to think anything else of it. “My wife asked me to check her messages yesterday, we do that when we’re busy, and I accidentally erased them! I think I saw your name; did you leave her a voicemail?”
