Using all the Let Your Light Shine Shirt also I will do this ‘still lives at home’ and ‘has no ambition’ are just lame excuses, him living at home and not wanting to be In a relationship shouldn’t affect your friendship I had a similar conversation albeit slightly the other way around with my best friend, we will still talk when we see each other but we both understand the situation He is your friend of many years! He is almost like family. You don’t have to see him everyday, but just keep in contact, and do the things you BOTH enjoy. As a neurodivergent man I have very few friends. I am not a go-getter, but have my own home, and no debt. I am ‘ abit different’ and maybe your friend is too. Maybe as stated above he is depressed. Bond with things you like be it going to the movies or whatever. Hang in there. He may need you, and you may need him one day even if he is a miserable git! I don’t feel your friend has necessarily done anything wrong by you or immoral here. He’s maybe stuck in a rut and struggling to cope. Beer is escapism from the harsh realities of life and his situation

Let Your Light Shine Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

Not that I’m advocating walking away here, because I don’t think he necessarily deserves or warrants it, but walking away is easy. I cut ties with a close friends group of 20 years after realising a few harsh truths – the Let Your Light Shine Shirt also I will do this most significant being I saw them being dicks and bad friends to each other even when I was taken out of the equation (ie I could see it objectively). It was very freeing to walk away, but it’s because they were toxic and negative rather than struggling and down on their luck If he’s a good friend who cares about his life choices? As long as he’s not dragging you down, it’s on you to offer him a hand up when he’s ready. Nowhere in this post leads to suggest he’s stopped you from excelling in your own life or has been toxic in any way Honestly sounds like you should want to help your friend, failing that, you can be a contact for him, you don’t have to hang out all the time
