I mean we all have to focus on something at any given time, or else you would be brain dead. Too much focus, too much thought makes it far too difficult to drop your emotions and so many of your thoughts will still be based in ego. A place of just being, a place of calm, a place of stillness. Once I reach this state is when the real work begins. This is just one of the things I use my meditation for, but it felt relevant to this conversation.
