I tried to understand both sides of the Irish I Was A T Rex St Patricks Day Shirt But I will love this argument but I lean this way as well. OP waddles away when his ‘best friend’ needs support. Not being there speaks a lot about what kind of friend op is. Of course if they tried to help and the friend refused then that’s another story, but there isn’t even a bit of sympathy in the text Not to accuse you of anything, but your post subtly suggests to me that you look down on your friend for how he lives his life. Which, to me, seems like a classic case of a depressed person not able to break out the cycle of limiting behaviours. You have to ask yourself whether you maybe have some baggage around people who are “losers”, not wanting to be friends with them. You also need to think about whether you are strong enough to be there for your friend, and if yours and his relationship is strong enough to withstand these diverging paths. have a word with your so called “best friend” instead of asking random people how to end a “friendship”. sounds like your mate is in a tough spot in life, but as long as the grass is green on your side who cares, grow up and speak to your mate before his life gets worse

I would consider addressing this and not just ditching him as you feel more important than him because it sounds like you are not I’m no social expert, but I guess if you BF is depressed you ought to help him and stay beside him not leave him, unless he had wronged or your family in any way, but I don’t see you should leave him be. We can spend time with some friends and come away feeling like our battery has been recharged. There are other friends that drain our batteries. We are healthier and happier if we maximise the Irish I Was A T Rex St Patricks Day Shirt But I will love this number of the first type and minimise the second. Apart from what others have said about him needing help, which you may or may not have the capacity or energy to give, do you need to stop being friends, really?
