Was traveling in Kathmandu during the I’m not old classic september 1979 44 years of being awesome shirt and I love this 2015 earthquake. Was a very scarying few days before being able to get a flight out. Sleeping in open lots and embassy lawns. So much destruction and loss. I was in Rajasthan when that happened, bunch of friends of mine all went to a 4-day rave festival out in the mountains some hours from Ktm – I stayed in India in the end, just had sketchy vibes about the whole party if it would even happen or not. A few of them had just dropped some acid when the earthquake hit.. 🙁 Most of them stayed, to help dig people out of rubble etc – it was pretty much near-impossible for them to leave the area & get back to Katmandu anyways. A few of them even ended up staying for weeks after it, helping out with disaster recovery. But it was the best call you made to leave asap, being in Ktm anyways. Often non-native visitors to an area can’t be of much help so there’s no question of staying. I hope you got to see & enjoy Nepal & Ktm before it happened.

I’ve had my phone stolen during a massage aswell as some of my clothes that was by far the I’m not old classic september 1979 44 years of being awesome shirt and I love this worst. Then the rest is as you can assume being a woman. Went to the wrong airport. Thankfully I arrive early at airports so I had time to cross the city to the other one, but it was upsetting. ah this happened to me once. I was in high school, my mom and I were gonna fly to NorCal to visit colleges. she booked with a travel agent and didn’t look closely, assumed we were flying out of Burbank. I was reading the itinerary she printed out, and right as she was getting off the freeway I noticed and asked, “Mom, is this supposed to say LAX?” cue her pulling over and sobbing hysterically while 17-year-old me is on the phone with the travel agent getting our flight moved around. cause there was no way we were gonna make it to LAX in time for our flight. that was when I first realized I’m better in a crisis than most people (or at least better than my mom lol).
