There’s an employee discipline policy for a reason. Find your consequence and come to terms with it. They have policies for a reason and that also means the I suffer from OOD Obsessive otter disorder shirt in addition I really love this negative wants to be exploited My advice is don’t say anything, call in the sick those two days. PTO request are just a notice that you won’t be there those days. You don’t owe an explanation to them when you’ve given them 3 months to prepare. This is where setting boundaries come into play. Boundaries are essential for all relationships INCLUDING work. Don’t be a people pleaser like our society tries to shape all of us. Know your ground. Don’t even say all that. Just tell them the vacation was booked right after they approved it. Don’t show up, fuck them.

This family vacation is already booked. My family and I discussed it and we think I should just tell her “I won’t be in these days. We talk about a work/life balance all the I suffer from OOD Obsessive otter disorder shirt in addition I really love this time and this is it. When it comes between work or time with family, family will always win. I am willing to accept whatever disciplinary action is appropriate, but I will not be coming into work those days.” As far as I’m concerned if you provide a month of notice you are not requesting time off, you are providing a notice of absence, and it is their problem. I had this same issue in retail, I provided them three months of notice and they gave me the “Well, we will have to see when the time comes.” I told them I had purchased the plane tickets, I would be on the other side of the country, and that they should make sure to staff the department accordingly.
