If you ( or your parents) fuck up and you trying to start obese or extremely skinny, or with a terrible diet it’s much harder to find satisfaction in it simply because it takes a long time than most would expect in the real world. Some people also just can’t give up their diet, which in alot of cases is fine, eat whatever, but be prepared to have to work harder and be satisfied with lesser results ( variable) If your just one of those out of shape but not necessarily in shape either, from them it’s just a mental thing assuming you have the pieces ( equipment knowledge etc). Plus, 2-3 days of intense ( or really just good) weight training and cardio is really all you need to get in decent shape, less than an hour total in the gym. These fake ass tic tok trainers who workout 3 hours a day 6 days a week are either A. Lying. B. Has a really packed gym and too much time bullshitting and setting up a tripod. Or C, has fitness goals that require such time but isn’t necessary targeted to the average Joe.

Find something that motivates you I am on of those people that loves exercising but anytime I take a significant break the first 2-3 weeks fucking sucks. You really have to get over that initial hump with pure willpower to get to a place where it’s enjoyable. I’ve found that most things are unpleasant, boring, and time-consuming. Doing chores, waiting in the drive-thru, grocery shopping. I can complain about it, or just not complain about it, my life won’t improve if I avoid things for only those reasons. I think it just depends on your personal preference. Some people enjoy working out for hours in the gym and others just do 10-20 minutes at home with a YouTube video. Even something seemingly simple like a 10-20min yoga video (you don’t have to be freakishly flexible to participate and gain benefits from it) is very good for you and will give you results. Obviously if you want to be ripped then becoming a gym buff is the way but a low level of fitness is better than nothing at all. I definitely feel you with the lack of drive. I have times where I’m motivated and it’s a daily thing for me but there are times where I go weeks with no desire to workout. It happens. If money wasn’t an issue I’d prefer to go to a trainer/group setting where I’m not motivating myself.
