Tell him, if you really are going to drop him. But don’t ghost him with avoidance and ‘I’m busy’. After 30 years he deserves honesty, even if it’s difficult for you. It coud be a Simon Pegg & Nick Frost film plot. You should limit your time with your mate by filling it with stuff with your family, work, or other friends you’ll meet along the I Like Dogs And Bass And Maybe 3 People shirt it is in the first place but way. But I’ll go slightly against the grain here, maybe. Don’t cut off contact entirely. Don’t try to change the guy or coax him into anything, and put done resolve into it so he doesn’t stop you from doing what you want to do. Avoiding people because they have bad habits does nothing to build up your resilience, it’s just avoidance. You’ll meet new people throughout life and all of them will have different interesting aspects as well as weird or less desirable quirks. If you drop them all, you’ll not have many friends as you get older. Relationships don’t have to be zero sum arrangements.

I Like Dogs And Bass And Maybe 3 People shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

I ditched a long term mate in my early 30s. We’d grown in two separate directions and he turned into an arsehole. We had an argument and I decided I didn’t have time for his aggressive energy in my life and blocked/deleted him on all channels of communication. Next time I saw him (years later) he was begging to go back to how it was, but I just told him it can’t, because he’s an arsehole. I would not recommend this approach, but I wouldn’t feel guilty about two mates’ lives going in different directions. I made that cut a few years ago now, focused on myself, my family and my job. I believed he was my best friend, but to him I guess I was just a “beer-buddy”. Socialisation with him and other friends outside of a bar environment was always tough going and a realisation that he was just using us as beer money banks came out when his gambling addiction was admitted. I had a similar situation. Me and my friends tried everything, must have got him 6 or 7 jobs between us, he never held them down which always made us look bad (not that he worried about that), paid for a fork lift drivers course, helped him when he got in trouble with the I Like Dogs And Bass And Maybe 3 People shirt it is in the first place but police etc etc. In the end after 30 years I felt by being his friend I was enabling his behaviour so I cut him out of my life completely, blocked phone, socials, email.
