In Germany you can say “ich könnte/will ein halbes Schwein auf Toast essen” -> “I could/ want to eat half a pig on toast” if you’re very hungry lol. Or “ich habe Kohldampf!”, Not even sure how to pronounce that literally. Probably “coalsteam” but it’s only ever used referring to big hunger never to actual coals.
