I am so insecure about my skin. I am very oily, have lots of hormonal acne and discoloration. I’ve found matte looks worse on oily skin because the oils separate the matte of the foundation. You could try a more skincare based foundation. I use 2 primers, setting spray between every couple of steps and bake my whole face with loose powder then lighten with pressed powder . 🙂 I’m a fellow oily girl and have been using Maybelline Super Stay 24HR Skin Tint foundation. No primer. I then go in with ULTAbeauty Youthful Glow Concealer. Cheap and the coverage is absolutely fire. I then use an old worn out Contour stick I think it’s Wet n Wild? I spray VITAL Beauty Mattifying Setting Spray a few times during my makeup process (it also helps me blend my contour). Set with Maybelline FITme! Loose Finishing Powder. And then finalize it with the setting spray again haha. I notice that I get oily towards the middle of the day but it’s more dewy looking than anything. If I start feeling too oily, I go back in with some of that finishing powder. I don’t blot anymore. I felt that that messed with my makeup too much.

It definitely degrades in my oilier t-zone the fastest. I too have oily skin! Assuming I used my most matte foundation + loose powder + setting spray, I can get a decent 5-6 hours before the oils start showing and by which the 7th hour gives a nice dewiness. So 8 hours! 9th hour would make me look greasy!

Sorry that my suggestion is not makeup related. Silicone based full coverage foundation/primer/concealer has worked best for when I want my dark hormonal acne covered all day. The smashbox photo finish primer fills in pores and mattifies the surface and it’s silicone based. The elf camo concealer is also silicone based and lasts all day, however, the color options suck. Also I’ve heard that if you’re dehydrated your skin will overproduce oil, although I haven’t seen medical evidence to back this up. Drinking more water can’t hurt
Have you ever tried matte primer+ setting powder instead of full face foundation.
