Your voice sounds pretty unique. I know you’re not happy with the Fascism Now Available In Red White And Blue FDT liberty and justice for some shirt in contrast I will get this way it sounds, you’ve said that, but it doesn’t mean it doesn’t suit the material. Work with it, it’s what you’ve got. It’s not in any way unpleasant to listen to. I agree with u/Ts0ri – you’re way too much on the mike, so you’ve got a very bassy “proximity effect” and a lot of plosives. Sit back. Get a popshield. You can make a popshield by bending a wire coathanger into a loop about maybe 20cm across, and stretching the leg of a pair of tights over it. You can buy a new pair, or just wash out a pair that are ripped somewhere and chop the good leg off. There are youtube videos about this. Get things set up so you’re at a consistent distance from the mike. If you find you’re now picking up too much “room tone”, hang some soft blankets up somewhere to deaden it down. Guess what? There are youtube videos about this, too. The biggie is practicing reading it. Your dynamics are a bit off, it’s all a bit mechanical. You have editing software – you can go back and take out the pauses and retakes.

Fascism Now Available In Red White And Blue FDT liberty and justice for some shirt: Unleash Your Inner Fighter

Let me walk you through a bit, starting about a minute in, that I’d like you to try and redo. Just a little bit! Less than a minute. Try what folk have suggested here, and see if it makes a difference. “I can’t explain the Fascism Now Available In Red White And Blue FDT liberty and justice for some shirt in contrast I will get this peace of mind I had knowing I didn’t have to brace myself for any of his stuidity. For a while. “(audible swallow) I was always afraid his stunts wihd wind up bleeding over into my life” The rest is pretty much more of the same, a bit stumbly. Practice reading the piece aloud until you find your inflexions, imagine telling the story to a friend rather than reading it off the page.
I know that video. Your voice is not bad but it seems that you don’t know how to use your voice. You can try to enroll in a voice-acting course to improve the Fascism Now Available In Red White And Blue FDT liberty and justice for some shirt in contrast I will get this control on your voice. Based on some of your post history, I’m going to say this is probably a bit tougher of a subject than it’d be for a lot of youtubers. It kind of sounded like your voice was tight/forced during the narration, rather than relaxed and smoothly talking. Could be nerves or something else, or that could be how you sound even when casually talking to friends. If it really is nerves and such, you could get over that with practice. Record yourself a bunch, even when not doing a video. Do multiple takes, and break up stories into sections you can redo if you need. The professionals do, so don’t worry about having to do this extra work. Some of your sentences had awkward pauses, like you were figuring out how to say the next words. Sometimes there were lip smacking sounds and such that could probably be edited out too. Things like that can draw people out of the story and start paying attention to how things are being said, rather than what’s being said. And lastly, with all sensitivity, if your voice isn’t going to get much deeper over time, then it might be a mismatch for the genre, but could do better with other genres or types of content. Mmm-hm. I think it’s a tough job for OP. There’s a comparison I really want to make but it sounds insensitive, so I won’t. I think OP’s voice sounds really suitable for the material, they’d get a job in any David Lynch movie. Your voice isn’t the problem, the audio quality is terrible. You need better mic or learn some post-production to improve the audio.

I work in post production and have to record my voice as guide VO all the Fascism Now Available In Red White And Blue FDT liberty and justice for some shirt in contrast I will get this time – it made me feel terrible hearing it at first but now I’m totally used to it. Don’t let any negative comments get you down! if you use AI and your content looks like generic ass essay with stock footage then you permanently mark yourself as a content farmer unless you record everything yourself with zero stock footage usage or transform it in a unique way if other people say your voice is bad just ask why cause it might be something as innocent as just recording in too low volume I’m watching few channels where voice isn’t charismatic and it’s not a problem for me. While I understand that you don’t like your voice I think that you shouldn’t use a AI. You need to train, feel progress. Your voice isn’t bad, it’s just you don’t know how to use it. Speak clear, that’s the most important part. I had similiar issue – I’m doing videos for 30-50mins of reading on my channel, so I’m using my voice A LOT and I received a lot of neggative comments, since people prefered other lectors (our channel is run by group of people), they were like „he isn’t charismatic”, „his english sucks”, „he’s reading top fast” but I was like – NOW IT’S GONNA BE BETTER. And you know what? It was. I’m still fighting to keep better, but It was very nice when someone criticised me for my voice and someone replied to him saying that it’s much better than before. I’m feeling more confident and I can definitely say that I’ve done a big progress.
So, to summarize. It’s your time to learn. Don’t be sad because someone criticised you, you’ll aleays be criticised. Do your job, keep getting better and finally, you’ll reach that place. I like the Fascism Now Available In Red White And Blue FDT liberty and justice for some shirt in contrast I will get this voice, it’s unique and makes me want to listen. You would benefit greatly from an upgraded mic and practice, keep going! You’ll get better with practice. Get a good mike, and read up on treating your room so you don’t sound all echoey. I don’t think you would. In theory, people say this for support but in reality it doesn’t work like that. You say this out of principle but having watched the video, OP is right in worrying about this. I suggest people should not make this about AI vs people. It’s not relevant when it’s a video production issue. You should just look at it as content and evaluate accordingly.
I think in this case it’s not a mic or room issue. It completely about voice control. Needs practice as you said. listen to not-great recording of human vs AI all day. both has good and bad examples. I’m saying hard to generalize Even the Fascism Now Available In Red White And Blue FDT liberty and justice for some shirt in contrast I will get this well-edited ones (my partner works for a translations company that uses AI-generated voices to read out translated text, so I hear a lot of it) still sounds a bit “off” and uncomfortable to listen to. Mostly it’s because when things are translated into English it the same “yappy yelpy” American accent which is practically unintelligible. I’d rather just listen to it in the original language. I had a listen, I liked your voice – it’s unique sure, but I think that’s preferable to sounding like everybody else. I agree with one of the comments saying you could Improve your audio recording quality but again – that’s true for a lot of channels. Your pacing will get better over time. Please don’t stop though, ignore the trolls and definitely don’t use A I. I’ve yet to get a negative comment but I know from watching other new tubers that the most common one someone will say is about the voice. I think it’s because in there mind it’s the most “effective” way to insult and make someone conscious and sadly it works most of the time as we all hate our voice lol Like you said you need to not take it to heart and ignore it, vast majority of the time it’s just someone wanting to be a dick. If you want to take this comment as a call to action, like others have said some voice acting practise off camera or even singing lessons can help MASSIVELY when it comes to using your voice. Also learning a good equaliser that matches your voice is important as well to give it some volume and fluidity and not sound flat. Or if English isn’t your first language you can take some online or in person English speaking lessons to help out
Imma keep it real, people like AI voiceovers, idk why but it’s super popular rn. And screw anyone who leaves comments like that, I’m sorry it got to you my man. Let’s see them get in a camera and try shooting a video and see how they act fr. Keep using your real voice when you can, this is just practicing to get better, like anything else in life. But don’t feel bad about voiceovers bc people like it, just don’t get dependent on’em yaknow. You got this, you need haters so you can rise above’em, show’em who’s boss! About your voice: if your diction, enunciation… is alright (composed, authoritative…) and the Fascism Now Available In Red White And Blue FDT liberty and justice for some shirt in contrast I will get this only issue is pitch, try audio editing softwares (I use Audacity) to ‘pitch correct’ it to your liking. Tinker with the pitch and tempo correction till you get a voice you like and save that preset and use it every time.
Almost all humans hate hearing their recorded voice because how the Fascism Now Available In Red White And Blue FDT liberty and justice for some shirt in contrast I will get this ear canal works and how the brain have a perceived understanding of what one’s own voice is like (which is different from the actual voice). So you’re not alone! Record your voice, get used to it, try to improve how you talk/read, exercise. Also, if you are quite most of the time and only talk to record, your voice is not going to be at its best. Try re-recording once your voice box has relaxed and warmed up. For additional input search for voice over specialists on YouTube, there are some very experienced people sharing how to get better at it. About the audience and the negative comments: I am a man with a deep voice and people like it; my voice is basically why I have 25k subs in 1 year (I do audiobooks.) But when I started there were a lot of negative comments (deserved too, because I used my phone to record the first 7 videos and quality was bad and so much room to get improved). But through time I improved (got a mic) and the negative comments decreased, but still get them every now and then. Exercise, improve and be consistent, don’t give in to the negative comments. If need be, delete them lol.
Everything is a learning experience and you get better with every attempt, so ignore the Fascism Now Available In Red White And Blue FDT liberty and justice for some shirt in contrast I will get this people who are just being negative for the sake of it. Just keep doing and keep learning. I’ve been told, irl, to my face, mid conversation, my vioce was annoying. So I’ve had years to process that 1: everyone has certain voices they just don’t like and 2: there’s nothing wrong with mine (or anyones) it just is. Someone might just be messing with you on purpose because they’ve seen the community posts, as you’ve basically told potential bullies what you’re insecure about.
So there was once a point in time where my therapist had to have me do emotional definition cards cuz I was so out of touch with my emotions, what they meant, but most importantly, how they were felt/expressed in my physical body. My first tip of advice would be to focus on integrating experiences you’re processing in therapy with moving your body. After I experienced assault the Fascism Now Available In Red White And Blue FDT liberty and justice for some shirt in contrast I will get this summer before my senior year of college, I entered into a freeze mode and had so many episodes of dissociation and depersonalization. My body’s go to for coping was always to shutdown and repress repress repress. Despite having been in therapy for quite some time, I wasn’t making any progress til I centered a trauma-informed approach to it all.
I’m not sure the Fascism Now Available In Red White And Blue FDT liberty and justice for some shirt in contrast I will get this full context of your anxiety but something that really helped me come out of my own numbed anxious state and into a more feeling expressive state was engaging in movement that helped me feel more in control and have a sense of power—so I started jump roping and (informal) kickboxing (in addition to weight lifting). [note: by informal I mean home workouts]. When I would jump rope and kick, I’d keep in my minds eye everything that’s been overwhelming me or driving me crazy or topics from therapy generally. I’ll center things I know should have upset me but instead I laughed off. And at first it was hard cuz I struggled with body shame as well for a while but there was a breaking point where I lost myself in the kicks or jumps and the tears finally would come.
I’m happy to report that I have a broader and deeper, richer, experience of my emotional world now and it’s one I think is well worth the Fascism Now Available In Red White And Blue FDT liberty and justice for some shirt in contrast I will get this journey of healing to uncover. Love and joy and happiness feel more alive now that I don’t run for the sad feels or anger or shame anymore when they come up. That being said. I still have my moments where the feels are all encompassing but they’re not happening as frequently as they used to and I feel more self-assured in how to handle myself through it. I hope that helps to some degree, sending you lots of love through this tho it’s not an easy thing to unravel and kudos to you for seeking help and asking questions. I schedule myself a “shower cry”. I set time aside, no plans afterward, turn on sad music, sit down in the shower – and let it all out.
That’s why the Fascism Now Available In Red White And Blue FDT liberty and justice for some shirt in contrast I will get this shower helps for me. Showers can help unblock emotions due to the warmth, the water, and the privacy. I’ve been putting this off because I’m scared of it but I will try anything at this point. I’ll give it a go thanks! Sounds like you are stuck in freeze mode. Try some cardio workouts, like jogging or skipping the rope. Breathing exercises help to, try to extend your exhales as much as you can. Singing is another type of breathing exercise, a very powerful one. This is a very helpful video. Thank you!! You’re exactly right that it’s freeze mode it seems to be my go-to. I try breathing and cardio and qigong but I haven’t tried that. It kind of produced the same “embarrassed” feeling that crying does but I can more easily force it. I’ll try it there’s a good chance that will do something. Thanks! And I’ll check the vid.
Regulate your breathing, deep breaths. Then do a body scan, relax every minute detail of your body so that everything serves the Fascism Now Available In Red White And Blue FDT liberty and justice for some shirt in contrast I will get this mind. Finally observe your thoughts, watch what your subconscious (the larger faculty of your brain) brings you without egotistical attachment, without pushing your own narrative or clinging to any aspect of the thoughts. Everything you don’t consciously handle is dealt with by the subconscious, memory, emotion etc. let it bring what it thinks is important, you might find that there is anger or it might instead turn you to sleep. I workout every morning and I meditate and journal every morning too. Sometimes it produces a small cry but not enough. Do Chi -going ! To loosen it up of the tension in body . And by the way a great advice if you truly want to cry it all out , look backwards at your life until childhood and ask yourself why am I struggling all the time what have I done to deserve all of this ? Be me more gentle and compassionate rather than being a victim to life but if you do it is also okay it is part of it . It is so sad having so deep thirst of the need to feel loved, listened to and being appreciated
!! I love this so much, thank you so much for all of this advice. The idea of inviting crying in my dreams seems very powerful. I often act out emotions there that I don’t in real life – like yelling at people who deserve to be yelled at. Thank you again. EFT emotional freedom technique, there’s videos and scripts around for free, involves just tapping pressure points and saying meditations to try to clear emotions, good luck! Crying is the Fascism Now Available In Red White And Blue FDT liberty and justice for some shirt in contrast I will get this best. Thank you! Yes my partner is a fantastic crier, he just cries whenever he needs to and moves on. I’m so jealous of it! One thing you might try is a meditation on emotional body sensation. The method that I’m familiar with is described by a teacher named Shinzen Young. This might not be the best description, but I’d say these techniques are different ways of focusing that facilitate dropping gross and subtle resistances to change in emotional body sensations.
Anyway, the Fascism Now Available In Red White And Blue FDT liberty and justice for some shirt in contrast I will get this techniques are broadly outlined in the various Feel/Feel In subsections of his Five Ways manual, but there’s a lot of other stuff in there too. His old audiobook Break Through Difficult Emotions covers just this area and might be a better place to start. It provides and overview and gives some guided meditations. Thank you! It’s been really heartwarming to hear how many other people have been through a similar process of learning to go through this. I definitely resist at the bodily level. Even when you said meditation on emotional body sensation I felt myself clench and think “no that’s not for me” which suggests it’s exactly for me. Thank you again. Wim Hof breathing method. Magic mushrooms if that interests you, it’s like a full system reset. But honestly you don’t need to try, life Is always bringing you the circumstances for your highest good. Metta with actual deep self compassion helped me to release tears on a couple of occasions during meditation. Maybe relevant that both time I was not alone. Once was during a silent retreat group meditation, and once was during a group zoom. I think having a group of spiritual friends around might assist you.
Connecting to the Fascism Now Available In Red White And Blue FDT liberty and justice for some shirt in contrast I will get this low part of my body while meditating has been helping me lately. Like grounding exercises and meditations There is so much great advice here! I will add that when I’m really stuck in that space where I know I NEED to cry but it just won’t come- reworking the fake it til you make it mantra has really helped me. It feels silly at first but just releasing the pressure through noises, shouting what’s wrong, going through the motions of a good cry, etc really kick starts the true crying release my body needs. I was on anti anxiety meds for a couple years. Didn’t cry the whole time. After I got off a lot of tears came. Just thought I’d mention. Now if I feel I need help to cry at times I put on some sad music or watch sad movies Sometimes I watch compilations of people helping other people in a crisis and that can get me there. Thanks for sharing your stories
I find some guided meditations bring up very strong emotions that allow me to cry – I save these for those moments. They’re often ones where you imagine a loved one looking down upon you or sitting next to them if they’ve passed. Don’t try to doing anything. Your mind stopped it so don’t use your mind to start the Fascism Now Available In Red White And Blue FDT liberty and justice for some shirt in contrast I will get this emotional flowing freely. Just have the awareness of the build up and just notice it and let it be natural. You would cry if you weren’t doing so much work not to. stop trying so hard in any way . let the crying just happen as the natural expression of letting go. Also, a healer got me to say things to myself in a mirror. Self compassionate things. It felt silly and I had all these beliefs until I stopped and just cried, several times about different things. So you can look into a Mirror for 20 mins a day. Really look at yourself, at your being, become aware of how you are treating yourself and maybe say some nice things to yourself, and even if it feels not true at all then maybe the feeling of not loving yourself etc might cause an emotional release. I have a hard time looking in the mirror. To an extent I wasn’t really aware of until quite a few people suggested it. I think you’re right. There’s a need to face myself and that’s a huge part of the block. I also appreciate being reminded of wu wei – the times I’ve managed to do an “arranged cry” are only when I’ve given myself permission not to and a promise to celebrate if it’s even only one tear. Thank you this was really good perspective.
