By that logic B should be “bed” and D should be “ded.” I don’t think that really has anything to do with it. I’m an American and I have a Z in my last name. My family has so much trouble with people switching Z with C when we spell our name over the phone. Also S with F To be fair, I think almost all letters get mixed up over the phone at some point.
