I am new to Delhi and always been bright and obedient student. I belong to well off family and they always trust me. I have exams next month and I am crying and can’t focus on studies now. Don’t want parents involment.It’s so sad no matter how much you work hard and be a good citizen, you are pushed down because of your identity.Give them notice, get your deposit back and change the PG. If they can’ respect you, they don’t deserve the money from you.

You’ll meet many such people in your life, because they’re everywhere, especially in India. So don’t take their comments personally, they do it to the best of us and they’re usually just telling what they’re guilty of doing themselves (lying, cheating, stealing is what most narcissists do). They can’t live with that heavy load of darkness inside them, so they project it on someone who seems like the best target.

Other people I grew up with who did get jobs, but who didn’t really need to worry about money, picked “fun” jobs like counselors at day camps, golf caddies, worked at a concert venue in our town.
I think my friend’s brother did that “student ambassador.” This would have been like mid 90’s I know he was in Australia for almost a month.
