I always thought Disney was on the Cat – Before you hug me… Shirt and I love this same side as Netflix about ads? You pay so no ads, that’s the advantage over trashy streaming services like Prime. Won’t do it simultaneously. Next year or the year after when all of these free one year with your phone plan subscriptions start to expire that’s when they’ll replace them with ad versions & jack up the price of free. My annual subscription just increased by 10 dollars. Disney plus gave me a notification before the auto-renewal. The part that annoys me is that I currently get d+ with my Verizon plan, I also get Hulu with ads. If they make this addition I’m certain the plan will change so that I get the Disney subscription with ads I get Disney+ and ad version of Hulu free with Verizon. I am 100% certain they will switch my disney+ to ad version too lol. I did the trial. Didn’t use it. I waited a long while. Paid for a year upfront. Still not using it much. I’ll probably cancel it. Especially if the price goes up. I don’t do ads. It drives me up the wall that disney would increase any price for a streaming service after the sole fact of how much revenue their parks bring in. Pure greed I will first try the cheap ad version and monitor what domains and ips connect for ads and then pass that to my Raspberry pi hole. If that does not work then piracy here we come.

If you have a quality, paid VPN and kinda know what you are doing, you get the absolute best possible service and it’s more convenient than ever, even in well developed countries where they attempt to go after pirates. Bruh ? okay but if they jack up prices to incentivise people to switch to an ad plan because advertisements make them more money, I’m going back to the high seas matey Pirate for life brother. Just be sure to use a VPN and make sure you don’t have a dns leak before you download anything ❤ I remember a cable salesman trying to chat me up at Walmart a few years ago. He asked me why I was so adamant about being disinterested in cable. “Because you want me to pay a subscription AND show me ads”. His response was a muffled “dude that’s how it works”.
