Yes, and no. I didn’t start traveling until my late 30’s and I partially regret it but looking back I don’t think I was mature enough, savvy enough, or organized enough back then. It probably would have ruined travel for me. I’m in my mid 20’s now and have traveled a bit, I’m expecting and with our kid we plan to travel even more before they start school. I don’t think the Buffalo Bills Charlie Brown Snoopy Woodstock Peanuts shirt in addition I really love this age of which we travel really matters though. I travel extensively now though. I’m very fortunate to be able to travel wherever I want, whenever I want for the most part, and fly business class while staying in nice hotels. I’ve been spoiled by luxury travel, and kind of wish I had the experience of being able to rough it in my 20s with a bunch of my friends before everybody started getting married, having kids, and having responsibilities. I busted my ass in my 20s working hard and building the skills that I needed to have everything I have now. I lost about a decade doing that, but I really don’t regret it, and I’m happy how everything shook out.
Buffalo Bills Charlie Brown Snoopy Woodstock Peanuts shirt, hoodie, tank top, long sleeve tee
I wish I had more money in my 20s. Traveling wasn’t really an option. So my answer is yes but it’s not because of lack of will. It’s a trade off. I do wish that I would have traveled more. But on the Buffalo Bills Charlie Brown Snoopy Woodstock Peanuts shirt in addition I really love this other head, I would be able to travel long term now, that is ultimately what I wanted most of all in the end. So the sacrifice paid off so far. Here’s the thing. I traveled a ton in my 20s (most countries in Eastern/Central Europe, Brazil, most of the US east of the Mississippi)…..and I still wish that I had traveled even more! If I could do it again I would have chosen some more challenging destinations that are on my list (Ethiopia, Madagascar, Nepal, Bhutan and India) when I was younger because as I get older I focus more on the challenges of those destinations. There are also places I almost visited when I was that age (Syria, Lebanon, Venezuela) that have become far less accessible… Did it in the military, actually why I joined. Got sent to south Korea then germany, and decided to stay in germany .I’m 31 I’ve been to
South Korea, Japan, Germany, poland , Lithuania, Hungary, Austria, Czech, Ireland, Romania, Italy, France, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Belgium, Netherlands. I graduate from college in May and submitted my application a couple weeks ago to teach English in Spain. It’s a paid position, enough to cover housing and food. My mom has always encouraged me to travel while I can, before life obligations get more serious. If anyone is looking to travel and not go broke, you should look into these teaching programs! Lots of countries have it, esp Europe and Asia. It’s called the Buffalo Bills Charlie Brown Snoopy Woodstock Peanuts shirt in addition I really love this NALCAP if any of you are interested! Application still open I travelled and worked abroad a lot 18-28, then had kids, then started really building my career. I didn’t get into my dream position/path until I was 37, my peers who started earlier make more and can retire earlier, but I don’t regret anything. I think it’s made me a savvier traveller, better at knowing where to save and where to splurge. It also helped me be more capable of navigating the unexpected generally, and better at understanding global news/people. It’s cool how visiting a place changes your perspective of it.

Where to buy this Buffalo Bills Charlie Brown Snoopy Woodstock Peanuts shirt
Yes and no. I spent my 20s working my ass off at work. I regret that, however it also put me in my thirties with a high paying career and strong resume. I can coast now in my career and still do very well financially. I’m doing some stuff in my 30s that I wish I did in my 20s but I have more money now. So I guess it’s all a tradeoff. My recommendation is to travel to a place where you know someone who can show you around. When you are older, your network is more spread out and people have more access. But this advice holds regardless of your age. I toured in a band and did a good amount of traveling for work in my 20’s with some personal travel mixed in. Nothing crazy, mostly stateside. I’d visit friends from college when it aligned. Every city seemed like the Buffalo Bills Charlie Brown Snoopy Woodstock Peanuts shirt in addition I really love this same itinerary; in the band it was all a blur, crazy times but not unique because of the city per se. For work or for friends, it was always about getting drunk and going out. Again, nothing unique to the city. I’m thankful I never spent much of my own money doing it. I appreciate locations for their uniqueness much more now, and having the means to take advantage of them makes personal travel more special for me. I’m still on the road a lot for work, and I try to take advantage of that by checking out something unique to the location, hopefully with a local who knows the ins and outs.
Yes, I would like to travel more, in the Buffalo Bills Charlie Brown Snoopy Woodstock Peanuts shirt in addition I really love this future and now and before. But whenever I don’t go anywhere for a long time, I fall into a depressive state. Every trip is like a breath of fresh air. I spent my 20’s and 30’traveling and so grateful I did! More energy and a sense of adventure that was beat down a bit in my 40’s… I’m traveling in my 40s not only because I enjoy it but I think I will definitely regret it in my 70s and 80s if I don’t do it now lol in my 20s I didn’t really have the means to travel much. Yes. Only problem I had was my friends didn’t have $$ to travel. Biggest regret was just not going solo. But later on when I found my group of travel friends, I held on for dear life and have traveled the world with them, 10 years later and counting.
Yes. My mother bad cancer and borderline. Decided to kick everyone out and emotional blackmail me to be her only caretaker. I feel I did miss out on a part of my youth. Also destroyed my college carreer. No I was broke in my early 20s. I was in my mid 20s when I really started to travel more and with a kid. Travel is my escape from work so it’s a good thing for me to recharge from all responsibilities I waited till I was close to 30 to leave the Buffalo Bills Charlie Brown Snoopy Woodstock Peanuts shirt in addition I really love this US at all. Now 43 and have traveled extremely extensively, plus have spent 5 years cumulatively living outside the US. No plans to stop yet, honestly hoping to keep doing this the rest of my life if I can. I do kind of regret not taking more risks in my early to mid 20s – instead I listened to parents who insisted I buy a house and settle down ASAP – but am glad I finally started ignoring them and living the life I wanted.
Everyone does things differently. I am happy my husband and I were able to retire early. Now we have themoney to travel without worrying over every dollar. Only regret now is my back and knees can only handle so much waking. My older sister traveled extensively in her 20s which was great for her. Though she had kids later, my nephew at age 44 and is still working due to financial strains. I’m glad I did travel a lot in my 20s! I wasn’t picky, did things on the Buffalo Bills Charlie Brown Snoopy Woodstock Peanuts shirt in addition I really love this cheap, and my health is a crappy rollercoaster already in my 30s. Folks who are retiring around me aren’t healthy enough for the traveling they waited for, so go now if you can swing it. “I wish I had traveled more when I was young” is something a lot of older people in my community have said.
I’m 24 years old & travel internationally 1-2x per year since I began college. I find the Buffalo Bills Charlie Brown Snoopy Woodstock Peanuts shirt in addition I really love this money & cut out/reduce other expenses (Mint cell phone plan rather than Verizon, shop my auto insurance every 6 months, don’t buy fancy new clothes, rent a place with a roommate, etc…) and have zero regrets. Thankfully I have friends and family abroad so can crash at their houses which saves money. Thankfully I also have an excellent career and solid income for my age. I think it’s a balance. I hope to travel more luxuriously in my 30s but it’s so incredibly important to see the world. Just go on the damn trip. I am so glad I stayed in school and worked and traveled very minimally in my 20s and even early 30s not just because I was able to get my education and career set but also I used to be very impulsive and make really dumb decisions which could’ve had bad consequences if i did that I was traveling especially abroad. Now at least in my 40s I sort of know better? lol
I traveled a lot in my twenties. I now earn great money and have a lot in the Buffalo Bills Charlie Brown Snoopy Woodstock Peanuts shirt in addition I really love this bank, however I find it hard to settle down. I also went to uni later on. I have now been living full time in a different country for 4 years. I suppose you could say I never stopped traveling. I’m now looking to buy property to get more money in the bank. So, I would say, if you do travel do it without sacrificing education and get everything you can done before you’re 23. Then just go nuts and get a good job by the time you’re 28 ish. That way you won’t be set back. Also just know that one place may never be enough after extensive traveling. I traveled quite a bit in my 20s, and I’m glad I did. I managed to balance that with my college and later work obligations, although college did put some financial limitations on the types of traveling I could afford. Let’s just say there were many road trips and a lot of sleeping in my car on those road trips. Still worth it.
I’m Americanz Yes! Unfortunately lack of money and time off made it impossible. Changing jobs too often means it’s hard to build up enough vacation time and/or have enough pull to get even a couple weeks off from work Yes. I should also have been willing to travel alone, meet new people as opposed to only travelling when other people were available to travel with me. I did my traveling in my 30s, took a break between careers, lived cheaply off savings before resetting my life in a new country. I traveled a lot, both intra and intercontinentally. Zero regrets, I’m already too old to enjoy some of the Buffalo Bills Charlie Brown Snoopy Woodstock Peanuts shirt in addition I really love this crazier travels I did then, like climbing high mountains. I don’t think I would’ve been ready to fully embrace that life in my 20’s, but that’s a whole different story based on how I was raised.
No regrets, because I was building a career at that time, but I would have liked to travel more. When I was young I was much less choosy about where I stayed (slept on a lot of friends’ couches and floors), didn’t need as much rest, and didn’t mind eating bad food. Now that I’m older I’ve gotten picky, and travel’s gotten more expensive! I was lucky I got to see most of the Buffalo Bills Charlie Brown Snoopy Woodstock Peanuts shirt in addition I really love this USA, plus parts of Mexico and the UK from working on traveling gigs. I always tried to stay an extra day or two in every city I visited, just for fun (and an extra week in Hawaii), which was awesome. If you can get paid to travel in your 20s, DO IT! I still do some traveling work in my 30s, but it was more fun when I was single/childless – now I still have fun, but I miss my family when I’m away.
I’m 23 years old and I am from Brazil, I took my first international trip alone, and today I’ve been to more than 8 countries and I see that it was the Buffalo Bills Charlie Brown Snoopy Woodstock Peanuts shirt in addition I really love this best thing I’ve ever done. And I think the best time for a person to do this is when they are still young, because you have energy and willingness. My biggest regret was having spent so much money on useless things that in the end didn’t add anything to my life Unfortunately, our world will end soon, the climate disaster seems inevitable and the only thing left is to enjoy it all before it all ends. 🙂 In my 20s I thought I would have time. Then in my 30s I thought I would have money. Almost in my 40s now and I have neither. One day I’ll travel, but I definitely don’t want to wait until retirement, that’s too late. I don’t necessarily wish I traveled more because I traveled a good amount but I do wish I LIVED abroad in my twenties— if we are honest either way ourselves most people travel in a way in which they get a curated experience, living in another country is far more immersive then a brief visit.
Yes, god yes. Didn’t really have the Buffalo Bills Charlie Brown Snoopy Woodstock Peanuts shirt in addition I really love this money but we could have found it. Now with 3 kids I’m sure as shit not travelling anywhere for a while The more travels we have, the more life experiences we have. I definitely wish I travel more often in my 20s and have a career on track. But, sometimes we have to choose one over another. 218 more repliesI think people certainly can learn new things about themselves when traveling, but if you go into a trip expecting an epiphany about your purpose in life, it might be setting yourself up for disappointment, since those are pretty colossal expectations. Better IMO to go into a trip just expecting to see some cool stuff and eat some new food, and anything else on top of that is just an extra added bonus. Solo travel is good for you because it helps you confront some negative things like lack of self-reliance, lack of social confidence, lack of experience, lack of meeting a diverse set of people.
Solo travel is often (and not wrongfully) conflated with trying a lot of new things, and THAT is what is important most for self growth. Go to a yoga class. Learn how to do Muay Thai, take surf lessons. Take a painting class. Do ceramics. Get scuba certified. Learn to speak a second language. Figure out how to navigate a public transit system with a map written in a different language. Accustom yourself to cramped circumstances. Stay at a rock climbing hostel. Rent a moped. Go to art museums. Date people. Learn about social impermanence. It’s doing things like this is how personal growth is achieved. And solo travel is how these experiences are facilitated. You can do these without solo traveling, sure, and you should, but solo travel definitely helps because it removes the Buffalo Bills Charlie Brown Snoopy Woodstock Peanuts shirt in addition I really love this crutches: “I would do dance lessons if I had a gf to do them with”, or “I can’t go to dinner alone, people would think I’m weird!”, or anything else like that.
A “fixed mindset” means saying, “I’ve never tried this thing before, so I don’t know how to do it and I won’t even try” Sounds a bit cheesy and self-help-ish but it can be a helpful framework for thinking about how to constructively approach new, or even scary, experiences. Yeah. Like what if you do scuba diving for the Buffalo Bills Charlie Brown Snoopy Woodstock Peanuts shirt in addition I really love this first time when you’re like 45 and you suddenly realize that it’s the coolest fucking thing you’ve ever done in your entire life and you now must dedicate the rest of your days pursuing that? Happens all the time. And it could be for dance or banjo or DJing or cooking or anything. Now imagine that instead of the first time being at 45, it was at, like, 25. You’d have so many good years of scuba diving. Just try as many new things as possible all the time.
(Or you can be like me, who tried scuba diving, got really nervous, and had to stop because I almost had a panic attack lol – but at least now I know that I can be happy living somewhere that doesn’t have scuba!) It’s not like an academic psychological term or anything. It’s just that when you date someone while traveling (a fling), it’s different from dating someone back home. Or friendships too. You can make strong friendships in foreign countries with strangers, which is one of the Buffalo Bills Charlie Brown Snoopy Woodstock Peanuts shirt in addition I really love this main appeals of solo travel, but you also learn that those romances and those friendships are impermanent because they’re only created under the pretense of you both being on vacation – no money issues, no work issues, you don’t have to meet each other’s friends, you don’t have to meet parents, you don’t have scheduling conflicts, you’re both more relaxed, more open, etc.
This is why so many people here talk about very strong romances that last only 5-10 days when traveling. But the Buffalo Bills Charlie Brown Snoopy Woodstock Peanuts shirt in addition I really love this person you are in, say, a Greek island, full of wine and amazing food, no plans the next day except for a nice museum, a new place to explore. You’re different than you back home, in Frankfurt, with work assignments and masters school homework and an annoying roommate and a leaky faucet and you have to call the cable company tomorrow because they double charged you this month and your insurance claim got lost in the mail and your mom is posting weird shit on Facebook again and etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. After years of digital nomading, I feel like this is the make or break of long term travel. Some people just can’t handle social impermanence. It gets them upset and depressed to make a friend who is only around for a week or even to have a great chat for a few hours and never see that person again.
I kind of took the Buffalo Bills Charlie Brown Snoopy Woodstock Peanuts shirt in addition I really love this middle ground because I had friends and family living in various countries so could spend time with them. *traveling in general. My husband and I travel as a couple and regularly find companions for dinner dates. We’re very social. Don’t put too much pressure on yourself 18-19 is a really hard time and I remember feeling so much pressure because I did not know what to do with my life. You can be made to feel that the decisions you make at this stage are life changing and set in stone but it’s really not true. Some of the most interesting people I know still don’t know what they “want to do with their lives” at 50. You know what you want to do now. Go do it! It’s an understandable feeling and you’re not alone, I don’t say that to negate your feelings but to help show that this can be a difficult age for many. I know that it feels like you are at a turning point in terms of choosing your next stage of education and a carer but for many people life is not a linear pathway. Not having a plan is fine, go easy on yourself and enjoy the present. Many people don’t know what they want from life until much later, I went to uni at 25 and still had no idea what I wanted to do once I left uni, I was in my 30s before things came together in terms of a carer but I made sure to have fun whilst working out what to do, take new opportunities and enjoy what I had
