as a person who’s first inclination is bare faced (despite how much i love make up and doing it) i always feel the Boo Teacher halloween Shirt and I love this opposite. my best friend always has make up on so it’s like instinct- when i go out with her , i put on make up. i wish i was better at getting up and doing the things that make me feel better about myself Because of health reasons it has become very hard for me to put on a full face of makeup. I hated it and I did feel naked for a while. But after a few weeks I got readjusted to my bare face. I still try to put on foundation and mascara tho I do miss eyeliner. I say follow your heart and choose just what makes you happy =) I’m usually with people who don’t wear makeup. (or very little if they are) I do it because I enjoy it, not because I feel like I need to. My friends usually just think it’s cool and compliment my effort . It’s not for everyone, and it’s just a fun part of daily routine. You shouldn’t feel any kind of shame or jealousy, you just enjoy a different daily routine to make yourself feel good. They might participate in other forms of self care that are less obvious that you don’t do. I have dark, genetic under eyes and eye lids. I wear a small amount of make up daily to help even my skin tone. But due to allergies I’m allergic to so many makeups and then when I find something I’m not allergic to they go ahead and discontinue it.

The trick to being comfortable in your skin is just not caring what others think and realizing we’re much harder on ourselves than we ever are on others. I get the most compliments on my wavy/curly hair on the days I classify as “bad hair days.” I totally feel what your saying about the “looking ill” part. I feel the same when I get into a phase of regularly wearing makeup. I go through cycles of full face everyday for a while and then light makeup everyday for a while. Personally I have started using sunless tanning drops mixed into my moisturizer. I have no idea what your skin tone is like, but for me my face is many shades lighter than my medium-tan body. I spend a lot of time in the sun and always wear sunscreen on my face and neck. So, when I’m not wearing makeup, I look like I’m going to throw up or something because there’s “no color” to my face lol. The sunless tanning drops help me to feel more confident with the no makeup look because my skin tone is more regular. I’d also recommend a tinted moisturizer or bb / cc cream instead of foundation. Once I switched to tinted moisturizer I never looked back.
