Generally before installing larger soaking tubs your contractor will get a sign off from a structural engineer to say it’s okay to have this size tub, or here’s what you need to modify to accommodate this size tub you want. The standard tub can contain about 60 gallons, that’s ~500lbs, plus a person that can be 700. A soaker or high soaker can contain anywhere from 100-250 gallons, so with a person (or 3) you can easily hit 2,400lbs, I’m sure you could see a problem with people just throwing them in whatever bathroom they like. Generally most floors aren’t designed to take the dynamic dead load of a small sedan.

If your feet stop you from falling below the water line, not only will you survive but you’ll save water in every bath you take, you’ll need a smaller bathroom to fit the bath, the manufacturer would have more baths per truck, use less materials.
