This seems perfectly reasonable. 50% to each child. Then they have to share with their own children. Naturally if one has more children they have less left for themselves. Nothing unfair there. They chose to have a bigger family. My mother left 40% to me, 5% each to my two children and 50% to my childless sister. It was clear. No arguments. The three Grands ended up getting everything. Hubby and I have two and SIL has one BIL had none. BIL hounded, begged, and threatened to get a share. Probate made the determination about the split. SIL was executrix and followed court’s decision. Money and death change people. So if the total is £100, you each get £50 and each child receives £5 from that? Or each child receives £10, leaving you with £30 and £20 respectively? Or do the kids each get £10 and you both have £25 each, which penalises you for having less kids? Money is shit and arguing over a dead parents money is even worse. I would imagine the person dealing with the estate can sort it out fairly and how the will was written to save any bickering over a few % each way.
