I can imagine vlogs are a pretty tough genre to build on YouTube since you are essentially trying to get people interested in your daily life. Without a specific purpose or general theme its hard to get people to watch. What do you want your vlog to be about? You mention a Q&A. Is it on a subject you know or is it just about you? Ive only been watching utube vlogs more on silent vlogs/ no face vlogs (mostly korean/jp vloggers). What i notice over the years is that these kind of vloggers still able to get loyal viewers & sustain them over the years is because they attract the same kind of audience, making them more relatable. Some people say that silent vloggers screams so fake at how staged every video they make but id rather watch a good cinematography vs a vlogger who just keeps on talking to the camera . I’ll keep that in mind, I’m slowly trying to better the way I use the camera as well as edit instead of just talking to it all the time. Just got a new tripod so it will be easier to record on the go as my old one was broken and I wasn’t able to easily stop and record bits, so this should improve my own videos in the long run, hopefully. I also hope split my vlogs up into segments with little mini-intros to each part where I might be talking about current issues that are going on in the LGBT+ community as well as within the city I live in. There’s probably a way of me bettering my content in other ways but I guess that’s what you learn over time.
